Also from this video I was hoping for some character developement, like maybe the character would be promoted and wearing the same colored armor as the drill sergeant, maybe even recruiting a new kid. The character doesn't grow up or find something out in this video and I'd like to think that the song shows the soldier learning something about himself and about the power one gets when they enter the military.

One last comment, first of all with the 21 guns, shouldn't you have taugh everyone to do the single shot reload, where you fire one bullet instead of three, cause I think you gave those people a like 50-100 something gun salute. Also the girl is running away from the soldier in the video, but in the song I believe he says she is running towards him, this was very confusing to me.
To get that "flag white as snow" line I think you should have used a nuetral flag as that flag is white with the unsc emblem on it, though you could have cropped that and I would have just to keep it with that whole "this woman is from another country/civilization" feel. Also the extra "huh"s were tacky and I would have just left them out. Also the reloads in the 21 gun salute was off which detracted from the beauty of the shot.
I would have done something different for the beginning talk with the recruiter/father character, more like a memory rather than a direct conversation. Maybe a close up on the visor, but this...works.

I don't understand how Halo is "about people killing each other." It's a video game, PLAYED FOR FUN, that INVOLVES killing. Halo doesn't glorify or encourage killing. Saving Private Ryan shows tons of gore, death, etc. yet one of the reasons why it's so great is because it shows the grisly reality of war. Also from this video I was hoping for some character developement, like maybe the character would be promoted and wearing the same colored armor as the drill sergeant, maybe even recruiting a new kid. The character doesn't grow up or find something out in this video and I'd like to think that the song shows the soldier learning something about himself and about the power one gets when they enter the military.

I am just simply amazed by how everyone become foreign policy experts on youtube of all places. They obviously have and had every single piece of accurately gathered intelligence on every situation America is involved in around the world, and they are always all to happy to enlighten those of us who don't friggin care. One last comment, first of all with the 21 guns, shouldn't you have taugh everyone to do the single shot reload, where you fire one bullet instead of three, cause I think you gave those people a like 50-100 something gun salute. Also the girl is running away from the soldier in the video, but in the song I believe he says she is running towards him, this was very confusing to me.

To get that "flag white as snow" line I think you should have used a nuetral flag as that flag is white with the unsc emblem on it, though you could have cropped that and I would have just to keep it with that whole "this woman is from another country/civilization" feel. Also the extra "huh"s were tacky and I would have just left them out. Also the reloads in the 21 gun salute was off which detracted from the beauty of the shot.

We argue about this because people are dying without proper justification from the American government. I agree, some people fight for personal reasons, but it is wrong that the American government promotes conscription without a proper goal of the invasion. And I disagree, if we pull out, they will not strike back. Iraq is in no position to launch a full scale invasion of the United States. The US is simply too powerful a nation.

The problem with pulling out isn't Iraq attacking us, but being incapable to handle all the troubles and problems a new country, especially one in the Middle East, will face.
There are still insurgents and extremists, and while Iraqi police and soldiers are getting better, they may not be able to keep absolute order. American presence is to help that--because if we leave too early, and it descends back into chaos, many will have died in vain, other than removing a dictator.

Well the idea of democracy is that the citizen's have more power than in any other type of government, so calling an American Citizen powerless is sorta an oxymoron compaired to every other country on earth. Not to mention the fact that executives are considered citizens, as well as the President of the U.S. who is the "Chief Citizen" and considered to be the most powerful man on the planet. I don't understand how Halo is "about people killing each other." It's a video game, PLAYED FOR FUN, that INVOLVES killing. Halo doesn't glorify or encourage killing. Saving Private Ryan shows tons of gore, death, etc. yet one of the reasons why it's so great is because it shows the grisly reality of war. You must see violence in order to get any sort of fundamental understanding of how horrific its most extreme forms (such as war) can be.
