I like the look of a pipe each side of the bike but I like the extra loudness and power I'm told the 2-into-1s give.

It's either the 2 into 1 comp series (which I'm afraid of being too loud for someone riding to the right of me or my passenger) or the slip ons like you have.

I'm only 5"4 and this bike was nearly perfect for me. If you are any taller you will be fine. Although the regular V-Rod is about four inches lower than this one.

Hey I just got my Vrod muscle..I just wanted to ask you should I get the Vance and Hines competition series slip ons or the Full Exhaust? what are the pros and cons of each one according to sound and performance

@gasserz89 I couldn't find a full exhaust that kept the dual pipe look so I went with the slip-ons. They sound great, provided some HP and still saved some weight. Highly recommended it if you want to keep that look. If not the 2-1 full system sounds good too. Maybe more HP (probably negligible) and some more weight.

Why would you get slip ons instead of full pipes ?

With all the mods you did to your bike it's seems like you didn't get any more power.

What back rest did you order ?

The one Harley sells for our bike is god awful. I'm looking for something more sleek. Something to go with the lines of the bile.

@renojoeb Full pipes would have been custom. The only full pipes I have seen on the market are 2x1 and I wanted to keep to true dual exhaust look. Power gains were quite good after the dyno for bolt-ons and a tune but it was more about making the bike run smoother. I happen to like the HD backrest and hopefully it will arrive soon! Ride Safe.
