@ All those wondering why Mark was opening his mouth, he was giving dancing moves to Kristi, knowing that no-one but she could hear him. Turn! Right! etc. I would think that was obvious since this was her first Latin dance. I also think far too much credit goes to the 'celebs' (Bristol Palin fergodsake??) and not enough to the teachers. Mark is an awesome teacher, and should accidentally 'drop' Bristol on a lift to the degree that she never shows up in public again, but that's just IMHO. >:O)
@QueenMAB418 Oh lord did I enjoy your wish! Bristol and Mark together is like a sweet, good angel dancing with a dark spirit. And, you are soo right, the guy is just soo good as a teacher. He tried so hard to have Bristol truly open up and it never happened. There is that final scene where she says she hopes to win so it can be a big F to the "haters" of her and her mother! Mark's glance speaks volumes in that scene.
i hate the way they run this show you know like the judges say their score but it doesnt mean anything its all up to the people that vote and they all treat it like a popularity contest
@X0ellenandportia0X How is that different from any other celebreality show? Also, the judges' scores are combined with the viewer votes (which I'm sure Tom and Samantha say a million times each episode), so their scores really do matter.
I love the dance, but sometimes this another case where I hate the producers. This is a terrible song for a tango. They do a great job anyway, but still I don't know what the producers are thinking.
The pros don't choose the song. I don't blame the musicians and singers, they are told what songs to sing and most of the time do a passable job of it. My problems is that the pros and stars don't get a say for the most part (they maybe get one or two of they picks the whole season) the producers pick the songs and do a really bad job a good deal of the time.
@sexyfoxx86 Interviews with Lance Bass & Tom Bergeron said that they get to give request lists to the producers to take under advisment, but basically none of them are ever accepted, except for the freestyle. I tend to think that this is true because of a couple times that the pros looked uncomfortable when they've been criticized for song choice, especially Julianne/Apolo's tango where she insisted that she did her best with Jessie's Girl and Carrie Ann yelled that the song wasn't her fault.
before watching this dance i read the comments...now i know why this song was a bad choice and i lol'd at Mark's opening of the mouth! like really?

Not a good song for this dance, but the dance itself was strong.

totally agree, the song does not go with a tango at all!

Well to be fair, the pro's choose the song, the musicians just play and the singers sing.

I saw an interview with Louis Van Amstel and he said the pro's choose the song.
