i have this theory tht because my football boots are like $50 they give me calluses, but if i were to buy the same boots professionals use i wouldnt get calluses. anybody know if professionals get calluses to?
There is a special pedicure tool they sell at the drugstore with a razor blade that works, but it seems like the callus just grows back in a week or so.
I had a podiatrist remove my calluses a little over a month ago for five bucks and they're already growing back. I wish there was a way to prevent them.
I have four calluses on each foot. One on each side of the foot, one in the middle(the only one that really causes discomfort) and one on my big toe. I didn't tell the podiatrist about that last one. I'm scared that he might accidentally cut off my toe lol
I agree porklover101, I play soccer. So whenever soccer season starts I get calluses on my feet (constant running, feet getting stepped on, rubbing against inside of shoe when moving). But once soccer season ends, slowly the calluses just fade away.
well not entirely , u can also take the time to sit down with a knife and chop it off evry week or two, sum people call me weird for saying this : but i realy enjoy doing that, its kinda fun. LOL
ive got a callus and i use a blade but i crnt seem to get it out and thers black kinda seeds tht go into blood. im not sure if its a callus or a varuca
Guess what? You CAN use a sharp knife to remove them but "safely" is a whole other issue. The genius in this video is like one step away from slicing the foot in half.
no i do that with mine all the time, it doesnt hurt at all because all the calluce is is dead skin. just be careful and do it easy otherwise you could cut yourself.
I've had my foot callus for years now. Really never knew that you can just use a sharp knife to safely remove them. Do they grow back though once removed?

It has something to do with usually people with high foot arches, like me
I have 6 of them in 1 foot!!
I removed 1 by myself, I need a podiatrist =(

are you kidding me, I'd have that removed first. There is a big callus on my "pinky toe"
and I shout out in pain everytime so much as pressure placed on it =(
tynoobi 3 years ago
You can't. It is the body's natural way of protecting the skin from pressure and harsh treatment.

I'm not sure what the "You can't" is in reference to. Removing the calluses? They can be removed, but they keep growing back.
RobertBruceBanner 2 years ago
They can be removed, as I file mine down weekly. I was saying you cannot prevent them.
dollydagger509 2 years ago
yes there is , if u repeat the constant friction on that area it will always come back, if u stop , the callus will stop
porklover101 2 years ago 2
But how do I do that? I still have to walk.

change shoes... with wider ends around your toes.
