  • yo tengo un problema, cuando pongo el func_instance, le pongo el nombre

    y el arrival_elevator_a4_base.vmf y otros, pero no aparece, lo cierro tambien, pero no aparece

    si me puedes ayudar te lo agradezco.

  • so I love this tutorial, but I am having a problem....

    I was able to make them across from eachother and they work fine, but the minute I separate them across a room (I have tried this is 3 different new maps) they end up failing. Either they leak somehow after constantly looking for the "leak" or when I get near the end elevator, I end up somehow 'ending' the play test. It seems to be just my departure elevator giving me problems? any help will be appreciated, THANKS FOR THESE AWESOME TUTS! :3

  • Its not working for me actually..... i tried to add the elevator to a map i already made. I put it away from the "block" and made one under like u did. but when i reloaded it it didnt change

  • hey, for some reason whenever I add the elevators+logic I get this error when compiling the map: "could not open instance file instances/lights/bts_light_flo­urescent _01_128.vmf". There are no leaks on the map. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

  • Just thought I'd add my two cents to this tutorial. I followed yours to the letter, but it wouldn't show the elevator because I put my maps in a separate directory (portal2/custom, not portal2/sdk_content/maps). If you do that, you need to make sure the path to the VMF file is correct. In my case, it was ../sdk_content/maps/instances/­...) Just a warning to people easily frustrated, like myself. :)

  • @killumanati777 you have to monkey with the lightning, but you need to get an ambiance up. Once you add a lighting source do the map it requires you to use lights.
