I'm so happy he actually made a success out of this and no one's stolen the idea. I remember watching it just after seeing unfortunate the guy who had the wiimote idea for the Dreamcast.
I was actually a little upset: Johnny Lee worked with Microsoft on developing the Kinect hardware. I was expecting, from his videos, head tracking implemented in many FPS games--it would be a simple matter to adjust the camera a few degrees depending on your head location.
The Kinect came out, and none of the cool stuff Lee comes up with were implemented... anywhere. At least, not outside of Kinect-specific software. Which is sad--adding features to old games would have made it must-own.
