  • If u don't want the pasta to be sticky, once it's cooked, rinse the pasta under some cold water or u can boil the kettle and use hot water. It will rinse the starch off the pasta.

  • That looks really good. I've been looking for a macaroni salad recipe. The pimento was missing from the last batch I made. Have you tried adding a dash of vinegar to give it a bit of a kick? I guess that might make it taste like deviled eggs though....

  • @bookmark71 I haven't used the vinegar, but I think that would be good. When I make coleslaw dressing, I use mayo, vinegar, and sugar; for potato salad. I use mayo and sweet pickle juice; so, I definitely believe in that little extra kick!

  • Here's a suggestion: If you don't like mustard or mayonnaise, you could use Cheez Wiz instead. I think that would taste great with all of the other ingredients! Thanks for your comment!

  • Mmmm great salad, only thing else I would add would be some shredded monterey jack cheese & perhaps boiled eggs chopped to boost the protein! I love cheese on everything, lol..love these recipes as they are delicious, healthy, fast to make, & economical. Thanks, Betty!

  • Hi Betty, hope you and your family are well. I was just wondering is it ok to use wholewheat and any shape pasta? I havent actually watched this video yet, as the connection my end is very slow at the momment! Also i was wondering what do pimentoes taste like?

    Whole wheat pasta (any shape) will be fine for this recipe. It will just be a little chewier--but better for you! Pimientos taste like cooked red bell peppers. For this recipe, they can be optional. They make the color a little more dramatic, and they add some taste, but they are not needed. Have a wonderful evening!
