@2710Pocahontas ohhhh lol cats are catalytic converters. as exhaust gasses pass through the headers/exhaust manifold they go through the cats. the cats reburn the exhaust gasses and convert them into less harmful gasses for emissions control. basically making the exhaust cleaner than it would be if you were running an exhaust without cats. california has strict emmissions laws because we have so many hippies here -_-

you know your mustang is ODBII and when you remove the cats it actually slows it down the o2 sensors where put there for a reason if the computer does not get a readout from them its going too believe its running 2 lean and start pooring fuel into the motor running mpg and hp preformance

You are incorrect. The downstream o2 sensors do nothing more than monitor whether the catalytic converters are properly functioning or not. The upstream o2s are the ones that measure the rich/lean condition of the motor.
