I found my next x-pipe/muffler(s). Everyone who said they had this Ultra Flo X , either ws misinformed or lying, cuztheirs didn't sound that good. I want an X-Pipe as well so I'm gonna opt for this for the duality of the crossover and muffler in one deal. It's going into an 81 'Doba 5.9 litre black on black.I like those Jeep SRT8's Mopar Muscle! Didya know that the Jeep SRT8 is the only Jeep to have the SRT8 Badge ? Well, that I know of. only Dodge used SRT, R/T while Plymouth, etc didn't.
What a beast:. this is by far the best sound on a SRT that i've heard. Keep up the good work - videos like this make Jeep owners very happy in down-under Australia
It all depends what you are changing the resonators in the back with. I'm sure is going to be very loud because no matter what, not much space back there, so the mufflers will be as big (or small) as the stock resonators.
The SRT8 comes with true dual exhaust from factory. All I did was to replace the factory tubing , muffle, removed the rear resonators and added slightly larger tips.
Yes I have the stock headers the jeep comes with. That's next on the list to add long tube headers.
during WOT's I'd prefer NO BACKGROUND MUSIC please :) ha... your exhaust is already music to my ears... so the overlap crap has to go :) sweet fabrication.. looks great sounds great
Whenever I get sick of my Flowmaster I'm going back to the Dynomax X Flo. I can definitely tell the difference in power AND I think they sound better...one thing to look out for that I had an issue with was the seam rusting out on mine.
I took it to the track again and I haven't lost any torque as my 60ft times are still about the same 1.7x, but my top end seems to be getting better, no real test yet to say is faster but I do think the top end is slightly better.
I changed to this exhaust looking for a better flow system but I'm not expecting any better than 10hp the most at the wheels, for true noticeable gains I would need to go with headers and free flow cats. So yeah, that might be next...

would u sayy this is a fairly loud setup?
untamed326 2 years ago
Yes, its definitely very loud.
Normal driving is very tolerable inside the cabin, but once you step on it, it can get loud inside also.
The sound outside is awesome, just what I wanted this 6.1L to sound like.
HEMIQBNKID 2 years ago
so if you were to put longtube headers with no cats it would be pretty mean sounding?
untamed326 2 years ago
do you feel your SRT8 FASTER? or does it go faster than with the normal exhaust?
