@VessUnless lol, little kids and there non understanding of how cover is an important factor, these guys are not direct assault, there assassins and saboteur's, they can call in off screen support, they can snipe an enemy with one hit, these guys are not pussy's there Ace's. Take this scenerio for instance.
If this were COD, and you were a sniper, would you run straight in ti battle or hide in cover and pop out to snipe someone. These guys can assassinate high priorty targets, unidentified.

@Yelaeh Exactly, Unlike Wow as well SWTOR has a story behind it and that in my opinion is what will attract and keep people coming back. Wow for all intensive purposes is a gear grind, thats it. SWTOR at least from what we've seen so far places less emphasis on gear and more on having fun and enjoying the game as a whole. It's the simplicity factor that's gonna make this game legendary

Well think about it. Everyone who plays a Star Wars game wants to wave a lightsaber around. Eventually though, only the good ones last and go to the higher level. It happened in a lot of games. A cool epic class appears, everyone rolls it to try it out. Then people get bored or realise they suck and only the talented ones survive (eg the CHopper class in Warhammer Online)
I'm personally going to roll a Bounty Hunter or Sith Warrior, mainly to do my two favourite things from star wars. Blasting people to bits with guns/rockets and epic saber fights.
actually linkinfan the Inquisitor has 2 specs. The first one is like a mage: high DPS coupled with average lightsaber skills (i always roll mages/long ranged as a main in MMO's so i probably wont go Inq.) The othr spec is like Darth Maul from the first flick, lots of acrobatic high speed melee coupled with a few badass force moves.

That's what happened man. First they made the Choppa/Slayer available only if you did 12 hard quests, or waited till their release date. Then EVERYONE rolled one. On my server all Scenarios were the same . 5 choppas and a tank vs 5 slayers and a priest (me). Eventually after a month it died down. Now there are barely any choppas/slayers, and even fewer that are high level.

Well i made a choppa too and was going to be one, but it was misinofrmed about fucking marauders hitting harder endgame, so i rolled a marauder instead, only to find out at rank 23 that their DPS blows ass. So now i either stick with it and be an AP drain faggot, or roll a new class..... sigh

Well I rolled an engineer and Archmage, and I was a pretty decent PVP'er. Whenever we played Sc's i would have the most kills or heals and a lot of Destro players would ignore our other healers just to kill my engi XD. I still view WAR as the best MMO I ever playd and Aion PVP is mainly ORVR but they're gonna implement Battlegrounds soon. Honestly though if i get to 25 and the PVP isnt that great, i might just come back to WAR or wait till 2011 for SWTOR. .

My server is Volkmar which is one of the best servers overall imo, and all the ppl left on warhammeralliance forums seem to be from there, so it has quite a high population sort of.... i mean i got rank 23 mad fast in like 2 weeks maybe, i find the game very rewarding in terms of how good it is to level. SWTOR is going to suck though, imo, from gameplay videos at least. And i agree with you: I still also view WAr as the best MMO i ever played. By far. The only one that may beat it is Diablo3.

Well man think about it. Star Wars has a shitload of fans so the game will never go under and will always remain active. It will be big, maybe as big as WOW.Btw I played all of the classes you mentioned.
SW is good if you know how to play it, its meant for ambushing. Sorc/BW are great if you dont mind being killed in 3 hits but can kill endless amounts of players with ease. Choppa is the same (or if you conserve the rage, you become even better than tanks in survivalability).
AM and Shaman are amazinghealers. I played both and most people respected me because of it. THeir group healing is great, their single healing AMAZING and their game mechanic made it fun and new. Go for AM/SH if you want to heal, Sorc/BW if you want to nuke people to death, and SW/Choppa for ambush and DPS
WoW is nothing but a game of noobs.. Don't expect this game to beat WoW as soon as it's released. Some time must pass, people will slowly* switch to this.
Keep in mind that many people only want to play a fantasy mmo and have no intention to switch to a sci-fi mmo. A great, great deal of the wow player base will never consider this.
Also, many people playing wow have no experience with other mmos and only started cause their friends played it - i doubt you'll see them researching upcoming mmos like SWTOR.

I can't decide... Imperial Agent or Trooper? Trooper with his rocket launcher and grenades is damn monstrous. But Imperial Agent with his sniper gun and the sneaky gameplay looks also fantastic :/

@LndSofaKing1337 You clearly played SWG at the wrong time. The origional game was excellent until combat upgrade 2 made 75% of the player base leave.

@krazykam89 i dunno sith agent is pretty strong and has some more defensive and offensive powers and he even has a shield :)

Imperial Agent ftw.
Looks like it will require alot of skill and patience but leads to great reward.
Trooper seems like a box of rocks. Brutish and Dumb combat, ala Rocky Balboa "Block with yo Face!".
who knows, no one has played it yet so my opinion is based off of a few vids.

I can't decide... Imperial Agent or Trooper? Trooper with his rocket launcher and grenades is damn monstrous. But Imperial Agent with his sniper gun and the sneaky gameplay looks also fantastic :/

it's difficult for me to in choosing either the sith inquistor or imperial agent. I more on becoming an agent because of his awesome technology and cool assain look.
