The character models are high in polygons and look way better than any other ive seen on the n64, but thats probably because only the characters are the only things not pre-rendered.

The graphics on here look better than any Resident Evil game on the PS1. However, the N64's limited cartridge space would have meant that they would have had to use a 512 megabit cartridge which would have been rather expensive and the voice acting and FMV's would have had it's quality reduced in order to preserve memory, so remaking the on GameCube was a much smarter choice.

@lasarousi @lasarousi Nope. The reason why it was canned was that the Gamecube was released and they wanted it on the most recent system. The N64 version was to be in canon with the original PS1 Resident Evil (as well as PC, Sega Saturn, and a few other consoles as well.) Version of the game. However, after being produced on the Gamecube, the Resident Evil Remake came out and several things were changed to make it in canon with that instead.

This is because in the original version's uncut opening, Joseph finds a severed hand before getting mauled. However, since Dewey's missing hand wasn't in the Resident Evil Remake, instead the corpse of a new character named Kevin, was found inside the destroyed helicopter. Kevin wasn't a member of S.T.A.R.S. He was just a RPD pilot assisting bravo team.

@Brandog95 Actually, the Gamecube RE0 is already on the Wii, it has been ported over with Wii controls. It and Resident Evil (the REmake) have both been ported to Wii under the name :Resident Evil Archives.
