i've tried the battery charger in my room too. for me it didnt make enough electricity. i have mine running under the hood of my SUV chevy blazer. With my battery in the chevy. i have the full 12 volts or alittle more running to my plates. i have 16 stainless steel plates per jar. i have 2 jars. i used a half teaspoon of baking soda and was creating to much heat. so today im going to try an 1/8th of a teaspoon of baking soda with 1 litre of distilled water. u can check out my videos too.

if you use salt you make toxic chlorine and sodium that reacts with the water to make H and NaOH.

When you use salt as an electrolyte, a small portion of the gas produced will be chlorine due to the breakdown of NaCl. The remaining Na will combine with H and O to produce NaOH, which will sink to the bottom along with all other impurities that form from the reaction.

I hope you know that chlorine gas is very dangerous and should never be inhaled.

Other electrolytes to try are strong bases like NaOH or strong acids like H2SO4. Remember, be careful.... we are all mortal after all.

@superduck89 Yeah, blue or green haze. road companies have to watch out for this in the winter because cars tires cause friction and it seperates the NaCl = Na + Cl. The Cl stays in low levels and you see it as a blue or green cloud. the drill could be causing the friction.

nothing, it would keep makign HHO ( Hydrogen) but it wouldent collect in the bubbler because teh pressure is EVEN in both conpartments and nothing can excape. but if you have ALOT of electricity running though it and it has wires that can keep up with it, you will potentially make a bomb from the HHO pressure build up
