Nice mix! Can you tell me your setup? I like all the effects you use - it seems from your comments that BPM matching let's you have more free time in doing fun things like flanger and other effects while the song is playing, I didn't know you could do that on vinyl turntables, only cdjs? Are those 12 " turntables? didn't know those existed.
yeah I'm interesting in mixing and know not a whole lot about djing in general so yeah. :)
These are Denon's DN-HS5500. They are digital turntable's, because they are reading MP3's and WAV's from internal hard drive or via USB port or from optional CD drive. I'm using hard drive, not CD's. The vinyl's that you see on the platters are just some 7 inch vinyl singles - they are here only for more vinyl-like feeling.
Mixer is Pioneer DJM-800 - most popular professional, club standard DJ mixer. It's pretty expensive, but very good and reliable.
I see you cueing songs, but it doesn't look like you are manually pitch adjusting by ear. Do you have BPM's of all your tracks pre-determined and adjusting so that the numbers match on the LCDs?
I'm not trying to judge, just curious, as I'm just getting into DJing and I like watching people do their thing for inspiration + see how everyone handles their mixes.
You are right Bro. I have all songs BPM-pre-calculated. But I have to do fine tuning of the speed of the song.
My technique is like so, but it doesn't mean that beatmatching is tough for me. In fact beatmatching is very easy to me, but why should I do this, if there are so many creative things I can do instead.
But sometimes there are situations, when manual beatmathing must be done by me - it is when some song doesn't have constant tempo (oldschool disco for example).
@DawidWarsaw Thanks for the response, and I agree, you raise an excellent point. Not having to reinvent the wheel every single time frees you up for creative expression.
I'm blown away by how much effort it takes just to transition between tracks, what with the looping and everything. No wonder this is like the only proper eurobeat mix on youtube.
and it's nice to see a DJ having interest in mixing eurobeat , though recent eurobeat is hard to mix .. and im so impressed at 2:23 !! it's an effect used A LOT in japanese clubs by dj's and i seen it live on your video for the first time :) haha
Fabulous!

I've been listening to eurobeat for years now and you picked an awesome track list.
Super impressive and cool that you even tagged your process; was really helpful since I've always been interested in production. Thanks for uploading!

It depends what genre you like. I'm open minded, so I'm mixing almost any kind of music. Not only house music.
