  • @madman4049- They do have click on, and pressure switches that mount on your gun as well, i use this as a training light and a camping/EDC light. (one inch scope rings worked well to mount it) Absolutely great review and such a great flashlight- Thanks!

  • @jimmydeanbreakfastsg Thank you for the kind comment. I now carry an E2D-LED and the G2 has been placed in the daypack as a last ditch light.

  • When people say "I trust my life with a Surefire light" you know S.F.'s marketing is working....

I would way more trust a TK10 etc. because of the solid, waterproof, proven build (with actual glass lens lolz), but people seem to love marketing.

Don't take me wrong--- this is not about saying surefire lights are bad-- they are great lights. I just think the days of saying they are more dependable than another brand are over. For the price of a surefire imo you can get more these days.

  • @martinaee Meh I have to disagree. In my work we use Surefire and Fenix, I have not used the TK10's but I have seen many TK40's crap out with the switch, led module, and mostly that poorly made battery tray. I can honestly say I have never seen a Surefire go down. Cracked glass yup, switch worn yup but never failure. I have been carrying Surefire for 7 years and my first one of 7 years still works like new. Can't say that about any Fenix I have seen And my E2D-LED does have glass lens.

  • @madman4049 Meh... maybe it's statistics then. I have beaten the hell out of my LD20 (literally have dropped it on concrete at least 5 times) and it still works and practically looks like new.

I'm not saying Fenix or Surefire are bad ---- In fact both are amazing light companies, I just think Surefire has equal competitors these days. I really am interested in the 2aa Surefire light (forgot the name off-hand), but the price tag is twice that of an (in my opinion) equivalent fenix/4sevens.

  • Surefire lights ROCK!

  • Awesome flashlight review bro. I like the shirt by the way.

  • Thank you. That is/was one of my favorite shirts. Got destroyed working on the truck. I will be doing a review on the E2D-LED in the near future when I have the time. Thanks for the comment

  • I just got my surefire G2 yesterday and i also absolutely love it. I'm a girl and i think it's perfect for a female, i am sure your wife loves it.. Great review....

  • Great lights I got a Z2 combat myself and love it....Thanks for the VID....

  • The G2LED is the best all around flash light ever. I have one I have traveled all over the world with. I first got it with the xenon bulb. Then a year later I got the 80 Lumens LED kit for it. Worth every cent!

  • Yes they are great. I now carry an E2D-LED. While the G2 has been passed over to the wife:)

  • Have you seen the Pelican 8060? it is 13 inches long and puts out 190 lumens for $149 I think I will be saving my money and getting one for the house.

  • @madman4049 Defendaaaa

  • I've got the G2 nitrolon in yellow and yes it is bright with a long range beam but like the madman said; it is expensive to maintain with short life batteries and bulbs. Surefire does deliver a high-quality product, though and thanks for posting.

  • I'm getting the G2 LED, any thoughts on the new Pelican 2360 LED AA for around $ 25-$30? Looks pretty nice for that money!

  • Thanks For the review . I use mine for doing mechanic work under cars.

  • 20 more buck you could have got a Fenix

    Tk-11R2. LED 240 lumens.

  • Maybe but I bought this years ago and I have no interest in Fenix. Been carrying Surefire lights for a long long time. They are pricey sure but I trust them and would bet my life on them without a second thought. I now carry a Surefire E2D-LED. Thanks for the comment.

  • @brib333 I serve and have been using TK11 for quite sometimes on my M4. Very good light, durable and I can trust on it too. Costed me 55 bucks with accessories through camp store. I also collect SureFire but their lumens are weaker and runtimes are short, so just keep them as collectible items. Good vid.

  • nice review boss. thanks.

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • does it damage a camera to shine a light into it?

  • From what I understand yes it can damage the image processor chip or whatever on the digital cameras. I am not willing to try it and on top of that I don't see the need to blind so to speak whoever watches my videos. I now EDC a Surefire E2D-LED which pumps out 120 lumens at max intensity. The G2 belongs to the wife now:) Thanks for the comment.

  • I might get sometime a g2 led torch they look alright

  • thanks I want to put it on my 500 rolling thunder shotty when I get it before they ban all of our guns!

  • I'm going to put down $79 for the G2 LED 80 lumens for 12 hours, almost no need to replace bulbs.

  • hey, if i put a 6.6v volt cr123 batt on my g2, will it get busted?

  • You will burn out the bulb. Use only Surefire brand batteries.

  • @aendzo Yes I guess so. I busted two P60 surefire bulbs already with 2x3.3V fully charged CR123A, you may want to discharge the battery to 3.0V each then it will be safe.

  • i have the very same light. i keep it on the nightstand, along with my Benchmade 523

  • Sounds good. My wife now uses the G2 and I carry an E2D-LED. Thanks for the comment.

  • I own the same light, it is great.Night stand, gun safe uses mostly. I own the Executive Elite E2. Ive owned & carried these same lights like you for years. Thanks.

  • I am about to retire the G2 from EDC and upgrade to an E2D LED. One of my christmas presents to myself. I will do a review on it as well once I have carried it for a while. The G2 will be passed on to the wife haha. Thanks for the comment.

  • i think all surefires are good,i had the g2 for along time i even use it on salt water, but i got a new light

  • Yeah they are amazing little lights. Thanks for the comment.

  • I almost bought this light recently. It was $35. The reason I didn't get it was the low run-time. I opted for a Steamlight Twintask 1l instead. It's not nearly as bright, but it has xenon and LeD modes, and a longer runtime on one 123 batt. I may pick up the surefire in the future. Like you said, it looks like it would be great for defensive and emergency tasks. Thanks for the very informative review. *****

  • Yeah the short runtime is the only drawback but then this isn't a worklight. I have never tried streamlight flashlights, might have to someday. Thanks for the comment.
