@pandagirl42087 Talk to a vet, they will tell you. Declawing is amputation of the first digit! No, of course the owner did not perform the surgery (that would against the law) but the owner took the animal in for the procedure otherwise it would not be done.

@kathyk214 But that's exactly my point, the cat wouldn't know that the owner did it to them, only that the vet did. The cat would have no reason in it's mind to be pissed at the owner. The part I was disputing was: 'that would piss me off too if someone i trusted cut off my toes'. And I looked it up, you are in fact correct, declawing is amputating the end bones of a cat's toes. I was unaware of this, as I've never had a cat declawed.
