I have one of these. I have had it installed on a Intel p4 3ghz clocked to 3.2ghz for 3 years now with no problems. Great that you can use standard 80mm or 90mm case fans onto it. It has been a fantastic cooler. I just blow out the dust every now and then.
this is a small heatsink, but its density and four heatpipes (like you said) make it pretty much amazing. seeing as the room temps were 27'c, and it was overclocked from 3 to 3.8 GHz, 49'c as a top temp is amazing.

And since he was probably using a Prescott P4, 49C seems almost impossible without liquid cooling.
