Awesome setup but (LOL) you are terrible at that game. Here's what you do before you start playing:

- 30min running/jogging/skipping (what ever gets that blood rush in your head)

- 30min benches and dumbells

- 15min crunches while in the bath (you'll drown if you slack ;p )

- 400gram steak + 100gram of mix high carb veg (pumpkin, potato, broccolli, etc) //eat that fast like someone is gonna steal your food

- RED BULL

I mostly play BF3 on my XBOX 360 in my bedroom because I like kicking back with the 7.1 headphones and playing on a 90" screen :) But the surround experience is really different and fun sometimes. I'll probably play it more on the PC once I finish my upgrades on Thursday since I'll want to push the hexcore and 32gb of ram to the limits!

@rhinosaur31 Not at all, they are rated at 4ms and have a dedicated DVI port that all processing can be disabled on so the TV displays the raw signal without applying the 120hz stuff to it. I can't tell any difference between these screens and the 4ms Samsung 24" panels I had before.

@rhinosaur31 Because I paid good money for it and it's still in BETA months later. I don't like to pay for retail products that depend on BETA software to function. Also I've had major problems with corruption that made me have to reinstall and loose my saved game multiple times and EA even said they were aware of the issue and couldn't help me beyond "Just uninstall and reinstall". That is why it sucks.

If you open console in bf3 and type "renderer.drawfps 1" to measure the overall fps. also, you should post your screens "Response time" in order to know ifs its good or bad. Putting a camera far away from your screen is pointless. Its the same thing as if I was eating pizza and recording.

I also run a projector in my bedroom and everything has 500+ watt surround systems. I don't think the bill is that high considering all the power I use. My 'Man Cave' has 2 dedicated 20amp circuits that were installed to support the extra cooling and power needed for all the systems in a small space.

@footballelmaestro123 The ivybridge CPU's show about a ~10% increase in performance on leaked benchmarks so the answer is yes, they will be faster. However I would not hold off if you want to build a system since Sandybridge is still plenty faster and when Ivybridge comes out something else will just follow directly behind it :)

@barnacules1 Well I see no coorelation. I play on 1600x1200 @ low on a 21" monitor and I seem to lead my team every time. If anything the larger screens are much harder to use (especially for fps) because it takes much longer to turn your head to see the enemy than it does to just look at them on a single monitor. your setup isnt for fps, it's for rpg, racing, and movies..

But keep in mind that I see the same amount you do on one screen and don't have to move my head at all, the other 2 screens open up a field of view not available to you on a single screen and allows me to see fire coming in from the sides. But honestly you are right it's not for FPS but is a lot of fun to play FPS on :)

I found that screens bigger than 27" are awsome for race and flight simulators.. for FPS u can focus on 3x27" screens, bigger than that u'r gonna loose performance... PS2: If u got the money, try a better rig like 3-way sli or Xfire and a 3x27"120Hz V-Sync ON screens set, I can assure u won't regret!!!

@MrDreadlokz You are correct, I primarily play racing simulators (DiRT 3, rFactor, L4S, Race 07, etc). I only play Battlefield 3 rarely and Counter Strike source. The bigger screens certainly don't improve my game play and smaller screens with higher refresh would give me more of an edge and allow me to take everything in much easier without having to move my head like I do now :) But I wouldn't trade this setup for the world since it just feels badass playing with your whole vision

@mortadablo Yeah! Make sure you get a card that support nVidia Surround or ATI Eye-Finity technology. Then you have to go in to the graphics control panel (the one from the card mfg and not the windows one) and enable that mode. It will make both displays show up to windows as a single large format display and then most of your games will allow you to select the crazy resolutions (in my case 5870x1080) under the game graphics settings. Hope this helps! And yes, I do run Windows 7

The great thing about Samsung TV's is that they have a dedicated DVI protocol HDMI port so that you dont have to mess with the scaling or timing on the display to get it work properly with all resolutions on the computer. It's really nice.
