For a ton of cash and leveling skills, definitely consider roaming the world in search of a cave. There are tons of them, and most of them bring in good loot and exp. And as you level up, you get better and better loot. I did this method on my redguard which is now lvl27, and I currently have over 450000 moneys or coins or whatever you wanna call it. It will also be very fun and entertaining to watch.

You forgot to go look for Captain Renault's Akaviri Katana. If you get it, it gets you a higher attack in the tutorial level. It's taken away before you get out of the tutorial level, though. The Katana is always around, but not always on Captain Renault's body. Sometimes it gets flung off somewhere and you have to search for it.
