Americans , Not One more Damn thing given to illegals until we get R borders secure, R ecomomy in order. NOTHING , Not one more dime given to illegals or there kids. The lesson of moral hazard is clear: Making exceptions to the rule of law for sympathetic law-breakers only creates more law-breaking, more injustice towards the law-abiding in the future. Fed representatives resist emotional appeal of a Dream Act & vote it down, until the border is secure ! NUFF SAID !
Raise the requirements and tighten enforcement ten fold on the DREAM act then try to pass it again, maybe it will pass. But the disaster that was submitted last month was a crooked joke and deserved to die. No back door amnesty.
God almighty !! why should the fact that your parents broke the law have no consequences ?? They are here illegally and anything they do is illegal including squirting out babies . so quit whining about "I can`t get this BLA BLA BLA" you are illegal thats the consequences of your parents acts ,WAKE up and quit dreaming
Deport all illegals now! Call monday all politicians and NO NO NO to the Dream Act which is a disturbing, false and even dangerous backdoor amnesty bill. NO DREAM ACT!
There is a right way and wrong way of doing things and I agree with this Dream Act somewhat but not entirely. I believe that it's okay to give them a pass in education but that degree/certification/license shouldn't be valid until they become documented US citizens. Jobs are scarce and need to be given to legal US citizens or people with work visas. If you(undocumented citizens) care about this country and the opportunities it warrants, getting documented shouldn't be an issue.
Its difficult to agree with this. There are SO MANY first nation/ american indian people who are extremely talented and intelligent who cannot afford college either (we also have the stereotype of being given a free ride to college which is BS)
My family had to sell their home so I could attend college.
I feel like the government should take care of their people first. everyone has to struggle and sacrifice
Nice try. Sure many illegal immigrants have worked ward and have aspirations; so have thousands right now who are going trough the lengthy process of LEGAL immigration.
People who are NOT citizens of the USA are NOT US Citizens. People who violate immigration, forgery, work & welfare laws are criminal aliens. Tens of millions of Mexican, Honduran, Guatemalan citizens and others are not US Citizens but criminal aliens. Hundreds of thousands of criminal aliens from other parts of the worlds are not US Citizens. It is immoral to argue that anyone should benefit by violating US law. It is immoral to argue that alien children should benefit from criminal acts.
Socialism created illegal immigration: Before 1914 immigrants came for jobs. Now immigrants come to take Billion$ and Billion$ of welfare dollars. The Welfare State (Socialism) makes unskilled (economics definition), uneducated illegal labor into welfare recipients subsidized by US Taxpayers. The ONLY moral, rational & fair way to increase free legal immigration is to destroy the Welfare State. Immigration to jobs = everyone benefits.
Immigration to welfare benefits = US taxpayers suffer
Report them?! Why should you deport the kids who hve done nothing but follow their parents who came to U.S illegally. How dare you label the kids "Illegal" bc they unknowingly came to US. More than avg num of illegal immigrant pay taxes and majority of them consider the U.S their home. Consider how you feel if your parents brought you here illegally. Is it right to label someone illegal bc the LAW have narrow consideration for situation such as this? Pass the Dream ACT!
@SamiHaves The answer to your first question: Because they are wrongfully occupying spaces in the U.S. that rightfully belong to other would-be immigrants who have applied to enter lawfully, and are still waiting in their home countries. The answer to your second question: Because "illegal" accurately describes their unlawful presence in the U.S. Check out Title 8 of the U.S. Code if you want to verify what I just stated.
@josegenawesome4ever I doesn't matter "how it feels." "How it feels" could be used to justify everything from rape, bank robbery and kidnapping. What matters is the law, that is completely fair and open to immigrants who play by the rules. Get a sense of values.
stop and think really hard on what the Dream Act will do if we let illegal immigrants get free financial aid from the government. I pay everything for my schooling out of my own pocket and I get no financial aid but you don't see me complaining.
Sorry no FREE financial aid from gov. Passing the dream act will finally allow them to pay all taxes. Right now, they are forbidden to bc itll give away their status. Millions of them will finally buy houses that theyve been wanting to (but couldnt), buy cars which they couldnt w/o a license, etc. Btw, remember, dream act only applies to children who was BROUGHT here w/o their intentions, They could b 3 & have 'commited a crime' @ that age. i belive they deserve freedom unlike the real criminals

Stop allowing the will of 23million illegal aliens further burden the american worker with more of their tax dollars wasted towards people who contribute nothing and take so much.
We don't contribute? Last time I checked we illegal immigrants pay into the tax, social security and Medicaid systems without being able to retrieve any of that money or benefits. The government actually makes a substantial profit on each illegal who comes here. This has resulted in a surplus in social security funds of more than $50 billion a year just from payments applied to fictional social security numbers.

sorry, i really dont mean to be like trying to make fun of you but i cant understand what you meant 'not two and not two years college. 6 years military and then they can us the GI bill.
but all this after the rest of the illegals go back and the border secured. ' maybe some typos?
actualy ur not exactly right. in many cases, these children hav lived in US most their lives & barely know anything about their parentscountry as theyve lived in US most their lives. they may not even speak thelanguage there. also do u no the terms for getting citizenship its not as tho the act passes then immediately becom citizen, they MUST attend colleg or military after all that THEN they can apply for citizenship. fact that their allowed to go to college only gives them temporary residency.
im not sure if the government would be 'assisting' education. i think it would be more like giving an educational privilege to children who have worked hard just like everyone else but cannot continue for a fault not of their own. many illegals are willing to contribute and not asking for any money, dont you understand. they'll all be paying for their college. who says they asked for scholarships and such? being able to have an opportunity by education is all theyre asking for
Me and my sister are first generation here. I am going to school about to get my associates in Occupational Safety and Health and then go to Texas ATM for my grad degree. My sister is a double major at the University of Texas in Arlington and going to get a grad degree in spanish and history, and is think about trying out law school. My old man works the oil field and has busted his tial off so we can afford to go to school and have a better life and career than he ever had.
With my help and other friends we registered him into college this semester and he is going for drafting. Me and my friends give him little jobs to do for extra cash around our houses since he wants to pay us back for paying for college. I think that immigrants who want to go to school should and it's not their fault that they didnt pass.
I have a friend who is illegal and after graduation he was so depressed because he coudnt go to school. I came to realize that he could apply and be accepted to go to college, pay his own way, not work, but take all the classes he needs to get a 2 year degree, but never obtain it since he doesnt have a license or SS#.
I think that if they do pass this bill, it will benifit the u.s. But just because they get their citizenship doesnt mean other family members or girlfriends should benefit. I would rather pass this bill and give undocumented workers a chance of school or armed forces than those who just want to bleed america dry.
many people dont realise it but immigrants have so much to give to this nation. just give them a chance to succeed , its all theyre asking for, i know so many of them that would love to be back home but theyre here because of their kids. the parents of this kids just want a better future for them. its just a matter of trying to be in their shoes to understand that theyre not doing anything wrong.
Wow you are a true class act. I cannot believe your lack of understanding, nor your inability to see 5 minutes in front of you. Don't you understand? Most have been here all their lives they know no one back home. If we don't educate these kids, they will turn into criminals. Then the criminals will cost you and your children more than you can imagine. Their parents work here and you and I reap the benefits, so don't turn your face. Let's seek a realistic solution, REALISTIC
who's turning their face? Not me...Tell ya what, I'll offer my ass instead...now kiss it. Go ahead you know you want to. That's right...kiss it good. This is a nation of laws (for now anyway)...come here, but do it legally. How F****ng hard is that to understand? Jackass...unbelievable where this country is going.
American isn't for everyone but it is for those with the hunger to succeed and the will to do so. All these kids want is a chance. There are plenty of American teens who have no ambition beyond the next sexual encounter. There are undocumented teens who are in honors classes. If the Dream Act passes FAFSA will get more funding. The colleges will expand. This is a good investment for our future and much better than the dept. of corrections getting more funding.
it doesnt matter what CITIZENS want to do with their citizenship. The quality of work the citizen does, does not make them more or less of a citizen. You still have to wait f your illegal because there are plenty of illegals that are not in honors classes should they not be citizens because they dont "apply themselves" enough??
The welfare of a society is contingent upon the actions of their citizens. If you choose not to engage positively then you are not only failing yourself but also society. Archbishop York once said that "the true purpose of education is to produce citizens." The reality is that these kids have made their lives here. To wish them away is immaterial. We must make sure that they are a positive force for our country. Many are already and as such will contribute to our country.
okay and our immigration process allows for choosing proper people for our country why should we have a process if everyone is just trying to bypass it
okay if you all want an education so badly get it in your own countries if you want to get one in the US you have to wait to get your citizenship like everyone else America isnt for everone to come and get education its barely providing for its citizens now just go to your own countries and get your college and high school degrees there unless you want to come to the US legally sheesh!
To raya465. We didnt choose to come here. I'm 18 and been here since i was 2. I have never been to Mexico... how am i suppose to just go back. I speak more english than spanish. You do not understand our situation. We have little options and going back to our country is not of them. We need the dream act to pass so that we can be the American citizens that we deserve to be.
Noobstur323 dat is da part u and all of u ppl do not understand regardless if u feel more comfortable here is not da point dat does not make u deserve to b here jus cuz ur parents made a mistake and brought u here illegally does not mean dat it is rite.
wat is da point of having legal processes 4 immigration if ppl like u say
"oh but now i have a language barrier i cant go bak" we would have overpopulation! why should tax payers who are LEGAL have 2 sit around and help make laws for people that are illegal to try and get them to stay! the fact that they are ILLEGAL should have some say in dis not jus 2 provide citizenships 4 those to lazy 2 wait 4 it
To raya465, What if you just found out that you were not born in the US, and your parents brought you here when you were 2 and now your an illegal..... would you want to stay here in the country that you know and love, or will you want to be deported to your country that you never even been to??
All of you that want this dream act passed think about something for a moment. You are riding on the coat tails of tax payers. The US tax payer has the right to give you this or not.
You don't even have any respect for the citizens of the USA so how can you be so stupid not to understand that they do not want to help you?
Are you not making an incredibly subjective generality? What justifies your comment about them not having respect for US citizens? What social and economic benefits of citizens are being taken away by these people? Are you going to exclude the fact that they are the comprise the basis of the agricultural and low-income job economy, and that many of them do pay taxes? And no one is willing to help them?? The Dream Act had the approval of a little less than half the Senate. There's your proof.
It is so sad when I see 4.0 students that have taken the most rigorous classes have very little chance to go to college. And they have lived their whole life here in the States. This is such a waste of talent. Some of these students could find cures to diseases or become great teachers. Also is Oregon undocumented people cannot get their drivers license. This is so sad when a 16 year old who has been here all or most of his life cannot be accepted by the only country he knows!
The Dream Act is stupid because its all about education, it should just be oh its not your fault and ok lets make you a citizen, not go to college or army or jump these hoop's.
get papers wait on line, Fuck you what line, somebody brought us here and thus we inherit our parents status. Do your homework about what kind of adversity we have. Oh yeah P.S. I hate school
Fuck school I hate school. Just Pass it so I can be a citizen, I don't want to go college, don't want to jump any jump how high to show anybody I am a human being just want to make an income!
Ugggghhhhhh!!!! This video makes me more depressed *cries* Its very impossible to attend college here in Pennsylvania...there is no AB 540 law here so it just sucks not even being able to afford it...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! How in hell am I possible going to afford it?
I know...get a job but I would still not be able to afford it anyways I hate this cause everyone else is making college plans except me and its so depressing.
Well guess what Buddy...Everyone in the Unitedc States are immigrants! DEAL WITH IT! This isn't YOUR COUNTRY, It's The NATIVE AMERICANS!!!!!!!!! ANY OTHER QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS...LEARN ABOUT IT!
Contrary to some misguided opinions, in-state tuition increases college enrollment, while not increasing the cost of college to taxpayers and in fact, pours more money into state coffers since students that couldn't otherwise afford to attend college are paying tuition and spending on higher education.
Basically, you're ignorant and dont understand that by passing the Dream Act the US would be gaining money, opening up for job possiblities, due to more college enrollments, and you clearly missed the part about HIGHER education.
EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! There are many latinos out there who are professionals and would give up everything to become legal citizens. Being a undocumented student is really hard since you can not apply for students loans nor most of scholarships. College's costs come right out of students' pockets. I hope Obama does something to improve our society, it would not be fair to waste sooo much talent just for not having a 9 digit number. Thank you for uploading videos like this.
These young people came to the US through no fault of their own. If they work hard, stay out of trouble, and succeed academically, they should be allowed to live as full citizens in the US. They will contribute more to society through their skills and taxes, ensuring prosperity for all Americans. I fully support the DREAM Act, as should everyone.
This is not about amnesty. It is not about immigration reform. It is about the children who were brought here by their parents and raised here alongside citizens. They need to be allowed to be free from hiding in shadows. They have too many skills and talents to share with America. We all benefit from the passage of the Dream Act!
@DreamActivistdotOrg No, actually we don't want them to stay long enough to join the other children of current and former illegal aliens who, nationwide, graduate from H.S. at a rate below 50%. Also, the concept that their law-breaking families would be rewarded for their criminality by having the children granted legal residency is pretty offensive to us, as well.
AND IT BEGINS , Jerry Brown is thinking of cutting cal grants to legal low students to help cover for the Illegal CA Dream Act

Let's seek a realistic solution, REALISTIC
marinesrock101 2 years ago
I hope an illegal alien takes your job. That is my DREAM..and it is realistic..Let's just let the whole world move here.
Creamyguitar1956 2 years ago
who's turning their face? Not me...Tell ya what, I'll offer my ass instead...now kiss it. Go ahead you know you want to. That's right...kiss it good. This is a nation of laws (for now anyway)...come here, but do it legally. How F****ng hard is that to understand? Jackass...unbelievable where this country is going.

Look at my comment dipshit...I think you are replying to the wrong person.
Creamyguitar1956 2 years ago
American isn't for everyone but it is for those with the hunger to succeed and the will to do so. All these kids want is a chance. There are plenty of American teens who have no ambition beyond the next sexual encounter. There are undocumented teens who are in honors classes. If the Dream Act passes FAFSA will get more funding. The colleges will expand. This is a good investment for our future and much better than the dept. of corrections getting more funding.
JKB76 2 years ago 2
it doesnt matter what CITIZENS want to do with their citizenship. The quality of work the citizen does, does not make them more or less of a citizen. You still have to wait f your illegal because there are plenty of illegals that are not in honors classes should they not be citizens because they dont "apply themselves" enough??
raya465 2 years ago
The welfare of a society is contingent upon the actions of their citizens. If you choose not to engage positively then you are not only failing yourself but also society. Archbishop York once said that "the true purpose of education is to produce citizens." The reality is that these kids have made their lives here. To wish them away is immaterial. We must make sure that they are a positive force for our country. Many are already and as such will contribute to our country.
JKB76 2 years ago
okay and our immigration process allows for choosing proper people for our country why should we have a process if everyone is just trying to bypass it
raya465 2 years ago
okay if you all want an education so badly get it in your own countries if you want to get one in the US you have to wait to get your citizenship like everyone else America isnt for everone to come and get education its barely providing for its citizens now just go to your own countries and get your college and high school degrees there unless you want to come to the US legally sheesh!

Noobstur323 2 years ago 2
Noobstur323 dat is da part u and all of u ppl do not understand regardless if u feel more comfortable here is not da point dat does not make u deserve to b here jus cuz ur parents made a mistake and brought u here illegally does not mean dat it is rite.
wat is da point of having legal processes 4 immigration if ppl like u say
raya465 2 years ago
"oh but now i have a language barrier i cant go bak" we would have overpopulation! why should tax payers who are LEGAL have 2 sit around and help make laws for people that are illegal to try and get them to stay! the fact that they are ILLEGAL should have some say in dis not jus 2 provide citizenships 4 those to lazy 2 wait 4 it
raya465 2 years ago

DO they have any heart when they take our welfare, food stamps, free health care, jobs, kill our citizens, not pay taxes, etc.
What goes around comes around.

Contrary to some misguided opinions, in-state tuition increases college enrollment, while not increasing the cost of college to taxpayers and in fact, pours more money into state coffers since students that couldn't otherwise afford to attend college are paying tuition and spending on higher education.
enigmagatsby1 2 years ago 4
Basically, you're ignorant and dont understand that by passing the Dream Act the US would be gaining money, opening up for job possiblities, due to more college enrollments, and you clearly missed the part about HIGHER education.

You are a criminal if you or you parents are in America illegally. So, you are in effect stealing your education.
Go back to your own country and change it for the better, better than here if you can. But you can't so you suck off of other people like leeches.
wetweasel56 2 years ago
ACtually, illegal presence is not a crime, it is a civic misdemeanor. You might want to check up on your laws.

I fully support the DREAM Act, as should everyone.
odoull69 3 years ago 8
This is not about amnesty. It is not about immigration reform. It is about the children who were brought here by their parents and raised here alongside citizens. They need to be allowed to be free from hiding in shadows. They have too many skills and talents to share with America. We all benefit from the passage of the Dream Act!
utahaztec 3 years ago 7
Great video! These children are Americans in every sense of the word.
djturtlep 3 years ago 8
This is great. Thanks for making it!
sonanip 3 years ago 8
Everyone should be voting for this. Why are we letting such talent go to waste?
DreamAct09 3 years ago 8
I don't know ... They don't want these kids to pay taxes and contribute to the economy or their social security savings later?
DreamActivistdotOrg 3 years ago
@DreamActivistdotOrg No, actually we don't want them to stay long enough to join the other children of current and former illegal aliens who, nationwide, graduate from H.S. at a rate below 50%. Also, the concept that their law-breaking families would be rewarded for their criminality by having the children granted legal residency is pretty offensive to us, as well.
