  • Is there some sort of weird buzz to your microphone? Any sharp sounds (like an S sound) is really buzzed so that it almost sounds like you have a speech impediment. Great review overall, but that sound is seriously distracting.

  • @jadius17 Nope, it's your speakers. Clear as a bell here.

  • I watch a couple of your reviews and they all make sense. you didnt fail to mention the obvious flaws of the instrument while taking note of the minor flaws. Good job.

  • @joab302016 Thank you very much. Yeah, I try to point out all of the big and little flaws and any good points for sure also so that people can have an informed decision on if they actually care to blow their money on something or if they are possibly missing out on a guitar that I feel they should give a second look because it could very well be just what they are looking for.

  • how many guitars u have? bass and notbass.

  • @joab302016 I have about 130-140 guitars and basses. Probably about 10-15 are basses.

  • @groovydjs I want to have a friend like you that I can visit once in a while and talk nothing except guitars.

  • @joab302016 You got it my friend, please drop by and talk shop anytime you want. They are what I live for!

  • Lol BR549

  • @hansolo989 WOW, somebody actually knows what that means. I thought I was the last one in the world. lol

  • that hot gold almost blew out my laptop speakers

  • @cellomannathan LOL, yeah...they will do that. They are much hotter than the regular gold pickups. I actually prefer the regular gold's to these beefed up ones.

  • where do you buy this? would you sell it for $400?

  • @dragantoe I actually got this and the matching bass from the same Guy on Ebay. I gave $800.00 for this one and $500.00 on the bass. The bass will be going up for sale, this one I'm going to hang on to for a bit. I've never seen another one for sale. So, really hard to come by and they don't make guitars anymore. So, they will be even harder to track down.

  • Groovy guitar mate :D Lots of "retarded" things about the guitar though :D

    love the review :)

  • @xXxGu1t4rGuYxXx Yeah, I love the sound of the axe simply because of the Lace Sensors, but the rest of it is quite Guitarded. lol

  • haha when your 60 and seeling them i'm gunna buy so many of those guitars hahaha awesome review dude keep em coming haha

  • @bullethead247 Big garage sale coming up in 13 years my friend. I'll be sure to post my address here at that time. If the the world is still here by then anyway. lol

  • Okay, i don't think that's what they claim they are, but very interesting anyway. ;)

  • @MatsOljare Actually it is.

  • Hmm, too bad it's not the Alumitone version.... i really haven't seen a lot of reviews on those, seems guitarists are too afraid to try new things to find out what they're like.

What's your thoughts on Ed Roman, anyway?

  • @MatsOljare Ed Roman is an ass hole. Plain and simple. He's a total jerk. The alumitones are really, really horrible. I've got them in other guitars and they are going up for sale. They sound like the really nasty Dan Electro lipstick pickups or like the Silvertone pickups. Then again, they're supposed to. So, they don't sound like anything new, they just follow the trend of trying to sound like something old.

  • @bmiranda2645 Exactly. The bolt on necks are the way to go as are the low magnet field, covered pickups. Only the cork sniffers will have something to say against common sense. lol

  • Hey scott, I got that Gene Simmons Axe Bass for my 22nd birthday today. It is amazing. I've seen pictures and your reviews on it and its better in person. I still can't believe it.

  • @FloydRoseDiscovery Very cool my friend. Yeah, people that simply think it's a joke don't know what they are missing out on. Cort did a Great job on that bass and I look forward to getting the Punisher bass from them too. Contrats on the AXE!

  • ESP from Japan sell some quite badass Guitars for alot of money but worth it i think check them out =] LMAO!!!! that thing seriously has some retarded things but it does blow someones head off

  • ESP from Japan sell some quite badass Guitars for alot of money but worth it i think check them out =]

  • @TheGingester I've got some of ESP's custom shop guitars. Very nice axes.

  • It's imo a good thing to have a bridge pickup that is a little hotter, but double is killing it lol

and is it me or is that neck huge?

  • @Guitarvirtuoso666 Yeah, a little hotter is fine, but MORE than double, a little nuts. lol Gotta be thankful for being able to adjust the height huh? The neck is huge. It's still not 50's Les Pau huge though. It's about the same as my 60's LP profile neck I have on my Traditional Pro.

  • @groovydjs idk i like really high output pickups like blackouts but thats because i play death metal but single coil pickups are the best for clean. i really dont want to ask but could you on a chance review some esp mh seris guitars because your reviews are really good unlike other people who dont talk about them to much.

  • @codytheninja5464 Thanks my friend. I get bitched out by some folks because I talk too much. But, anybody can play to some degree. I just try to give honest information. You are right about the pickups for the clean things etc. If I get the ESP's coming through here, you got it my man. I'd be way more than happy too. Each guitar has it's strength's and weaknesses. I wouldn't do my country gigs with EMB 81's and 85's but they have their place for sure!

  • why do you not like thru necks.

  • @codytheninja5464 Easy, you can't work on them. You can't take them off and shim them when the humidity messes them up (and it will). You can't swap necks if you simply want a different feel. Then there is the horrible finish on the necks that make you stick to them like a fly on fly paper when you sweat. They serve no purpose, no extra sustain. They are no more than simple hype. It takes a heating treatment to straighten them out and with a bolt on, you can fix it in 10 minutes.

  • @groovydjs thanks i never knew that im gonna start buying bolt on necks now.p.s great reviews.

  • @codytheninja5464 Yeah, I've had so many Gibson necks actually come unglued and fall off. lol Crazy things. But, the bolt on necks are simply so very easy to work on and take care of or change out. People seem to get set on one type or the other for whatever reason and then they get really bull headed about it. But, the bolt on simply makes more sense from a point of that you will actually have to maintain and adjust your guitar neck with each passing season (humidity...etc).
