Interesting, I'll have to read up on the RF85 coating. However, I will say I've heard similar claims from other specialized coating manufacturers and it sometimes is more marketing than truth. Not that I'm against the idea at all, who wouldn't want a firearm you never had to oil? Hopefully I can get my hands on one and see for myself. Keep cranking out the videos, always enjoy seeing a new review.
@wishbone1138 They (Better Than New is the company) say its derived from elemental Ca (calcium) metal. Seems to originally have been used in the racing industry on engines + gear boxes, and in the laser cutting tool industry. Now its being applied to firearms. Oak Ridge National Laboratory did the testing on the coating.
They are AR-15s. By definition, that means they are direct gas impingement operation. A piston system is not truly an AR-15, but is closer in operation to Stoner's AR-18 design.
@TW94full I was referring specifically to the manufacture. I wouldn't jump to conclusions if you were wise. Apparently you are not and are seriously lacking up there.
@TW94full sheesh some people grew up in the garand era and people didn't care so much whether you called it a clip or a magazine. We all know what he means and I'm sure he knows the difference.
Not me. I just pull the trigger. I use a good solid rest from Target Shooting, Inc and a quality scope like the Leupold shown on this rifle. With good ammo, it is easy to do.
Interesting rifle. One of the reasons I stick to piston / rod uppers is cause of the amount of gas block system jams I have personally witnessed. Either at military or civilan ranges. This material seems to help address that issue of feeding and the bolt. Will be interesting to see the long term durablity of the finish.
The Anderson is as top-tier as you can get. It is a production gun, but has quality components, and the Gunblast models have a billet receiver. On the Counter Sniper, I would prefer a Timney or Alexander match trigger, but that is the only thing that I would change, and is just a matter of personal preference.
And does anderson manufacturing have a lifetime warranty on their AR rifles??

How is the rifle in dusty conditions?
thegangvault2 1 year ago
@thegangvault2 not good.
YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 1 year ago
@YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 I meant this rifle with the special metal coating, not the AR-15 in general.

@thegangvault2 about as good as ur mum in bed lolololololol

It is dusty in dusty conditions. However, dust does not stick to the dry weapon as it does to a weapon with oil on it. The dust falls right off.

Yep, he did say that, but lots of folks incorrectly refer to the magazine as a clip. I didn't see a need to slap him around for it.
