Many of the Keystone Kops films were made in Bay Shore, New York. I'm pretty sure the lake at the beginning is Brightwaters Lake. The building that was used as their headquarters still exists.
And why is this called the Keystone Cops Festival when they're only part of the plot where as Fatty Arbuckle "stars" in all the videos...... shouldn't this be called the Fatty Arbuckle Festival?
My grandpa, L.Bailey was one of the orginal 13 kops. so glad to see him in action. He was one of the tall(6ft.) ones.Wkd with Mae West,Fatty. He was very handsome.
I can't tell you what a thrill it is to find this! I spend many a Sunday watching these in the 60s, and they still amaze me! WOW! Talk about 'stunt men'!
Everyone knows of Pennsylvanias nickname of the Quaker State but they have a lesser known nickname of the Keystone State. My question is does that make the Pennsylvania Police Keystone Cops?
I love them too, my Great Great worked with Keystone cops, mainly filming them but in the scenes where there is the mad dash chases of Keystone cops my Uncle John is amidst the cops in the chases.
These Kops are so classic! I use to love watching these even as a kid in the late 60's. I've always loved the silents. Talkies that did come out weren't always great, and sometimes were harder to follow along than the silents. Thanks for posting!
just lovely <3 <3

You can tell in the Sennett films that Mabel Normand was pretty but if you see still photographs of her you'll realize that she was VERY pretty.
It's ashame that she let her life fall into the pit it did which directly led to her early death.
