@HarryPlayer I agree for the most part. To me, this song is kind of like a twisted lullaby -- it creeps the heck out of me! O.O But I wouldn't call it the BEST; to me, the Halloween theme is on-par with this theme, so they both stand together as the best horror scores ever conceived in my opinion.

@HarryPlayer As for best to listen to, I'd agree with this (as well as Halloween, and Psycho if you consider that horror rather than thriller). However, in terms of overall fear the music can give you, I think the Shining's soundtrack wins without question.

This is one of my favorite horror movie. I especially liked the main theme, a feeling that someone creeps up. Very scary becomes. I remember my first acquaintance with this film. It was quite comical. For me personally it was a real frenzy. I was a kid. I perceived this movie as if it reality, as if Freddy is waiting for us all in our dreams. I tried not to fall asleep, I thought that if I fall asleep, then will never wake up. Fear like a drug. I'm addicted to this movie. Sorry for bad English.

At the time he wrote it, where he lived in California at the time, there was a rash of child molestation cases. What he then did was to rewrite the child molester background into Freddy being a child murderer instead. @KyleGibbons91 Well that's just your opinion, and you're perfectly welcome to it. I personally think both versions are scary in their own rights; see, the original Fred killed the kids. And you can only kill someone once. The new Freddy repeatedly abused these kids, leaving them with scars that they have to live with by the end of the movie. Both cases ARE very sick and horrific, at least to me.

Though I have to admit... killing a kid takes more guts. Or less soul.

@robinmarino Yeah the sequals kinda made him goofy and funny. I don't know why they went that route with his charachter but the orginal Nightmare on Elm St. There is NOTHING funny about Krueger. The first film is actually very-very scary. As a kid I didn't grasp it, and I liked the sequals better. It wasn't till I got a bit older that I realised how scary the first film truly is.

'yeah, this remake is going to be about as good as the Halloween, Friday the 13'th, and Clash of the Titans remakes, which is to say, it'll be absolute shit. Really, it looks terrible.
