I heard an interview with her on WSM 650 last week and she said that when she came out in that dress people were laughing and pointing fingers at her. It wasn't what she wanted to wear.

I've been trying to find this performance of Riley's #1 of 1968, "Harper Valley, PTA" for a while. This is my favorite performance of the song, I'm glad I could find it again.

She suffered serious depression in the 90s after splitting with her husband, found god, got treatment and produced an album in 2000 called 'Good ol' country'.

She has her own website but I haven't checked it yet so there could be more recent activity.
