For those looking for the Christmas version, I found it out here on you tube....The Caroleer Singers and Orchestra-Wait For The Wagon On Christmas Day
I remember hearing this song just before a bad hurricane in Beaufort, SC about 1942 or so. Never thought I would find this on on You Tube, or anywhere.
I think this could hit the charts if re-released with mordern lyrics such as "Wait for the Wagon, the Stimulus Wagon" referring to the Stimulus money being spread around and it could become famous at Tea Parties!
I think I heard the same one....I had a dream and the song was in it..... It was a group singing it if I remember correct, like the young americans maybe???
Oh wiskey is a monster
it ruins great and small
but in our noble army Headquarters gets it all!
So how do you like the Army? The brass mounted Army, The high faultn' Army where Eagle buttons Rule

This song has hung in my memory from 1940 and a hurricane that was hitting when I heard this on the radio. Never thought I would find it again.
