Would this Head work on a Roland Cube 80x until i get myself a cheap cab? Or will it just break my Roland Cube 80x because theres too much watts coming through the RH300?
@TheFallenillusion Well after having it about two weeks I decided to return it. I didn't like the sound from it...I spend a lot of time with the EQ and some work with my digitech rp 500 but still didn't meet my needs! So I'm going to give the Bugera 1990 a try.
I just bought a used Randall RH150 G3 a few days ago, and it has the same HUGE sound as your 300. However, in comparison tests with my Marshall AVT50 and MG100HDFX, it came up short in the volume department. Will the 300 watt version be that much louder than the 150 watt version?!? With basically the same channel settings as yours, the master set at 4 is enough to get the neighbor's attention, but the MG at 2 is flat-out deafening. The clean/ch set at 7 is like my Hod Rod Deluxe clean/ch at 3.
@skatefallen15 sorry about that.....yeah it comes with a 4 button foot-switch. the buttons on the foot-switch are channel, gain stage, clean boost, and reverb. the pedal is built like a tank and the cord for it is very long. overall this whole setup is very well built and strong.
How does it sound at high volumes? Does it work for gigging? I play metal and am looking for a good quality amp, and the price makes this amp attractive.
It's useless to look for a High Gain amp if you want to put a Metal Zone on it. For me, the MT-2 sound so crappy compared to a High Gain amp such as that Randall or a Peavey.
dude i have the same fucking amp, besides the 150 watt diifference, and yours sounds so much better. i know how to get good tone from amps but cant seem to get a great tone from mine. i bought it used off ebay though, so it might be defected. i mean it sounds decent , its not like that shitty but i have to use a gain booster just to have a decent distortion. without it, it sounds weak and brittle.
