dynasty379 actually they do sting you. they hav slime and bacteria tht gives you the fell of a insect sting or snake bite
no they stab with their fins. but you are right about the slime.

they are not venomous, but can hurt
my friend told me that if you touch them.. it might hurt few days... and the part were it sting becomes red, that's why i asked.

@WebguyAngler they Actually do have a light venom on thier dorsal fin. But it is only painfull.

I catch channel cats all night long on cut up bull-heads for bait!!! If you cast a worm out into the river i fish in you will have a bullhead in 5 minutes or less, guaranteed!! One bullhead will last all night!
