  • Oh this is a fun song lyrics that seem to click with the males commenting below mine. OMG love the counting the pubic hairs; priceless choice. Picturing that is a hoot. The delivery of the lyrics in the Squeeze performances are so clear and I LOVE THIS; the guitars, drums, keyboard played so masterfully as all of the Squeeze performances. A most fun tune to go off to bed; picturing my friends life before my eyes.;-) What a delightful concert he sent my way of this Grand Band. THANKS!!! :-)

  • Anyone who reminisces about listening to the Dead as a kid is alright with me.

  • @pabfoy....me n you both! all through, and when at the worst i saw them live and it was all good!!!

  • As if the music wasn't already great... the lyrics are so real.

  • "Pubic hairs proudly counted everyday" :)

  • Have never seen this, great song. Great performance. Chris has been touring with the fluffers and solo over the years, I always see him because he is guitar player, great showman and great voice. The new Squeeze album Spot the Difference I think is a great idea and i hope I get to see Squeeze now that they are touring - the new squeeze has the keyboardist and drummer from the fluffers so they have experience playing squeeze and are very good.

  • @inatl17 Sorry I meant Glen has been touring with the Fluffers.

  • Glenn Tilbrook has such a distinct, powerful and equally effortless voice.

  • I always loved these guys.

  • Always enjoyable - maybe not the best song they've ever written, but who HAS written songs as great as Cool For Cats or Up The Junction?

I am just grateful they're still going and keep the performance quality so high!

  • Squeeze are just such class....Glenn is so fit .....cant wait to see them again next year ..

  • great song. nice guitar work too.

  • Great performance. Too bad they ditched Keith Wilkinson ... he's a great bass player/sideman.

  • Ok, now I have 3 favorite Squeeze songs. "Tempted", "Black Coffee in Bed", and "Electric Trains".

  • I agree on the first 2 and don't know the 3rd one. right now I will check

  • Fab....just Fab

  • Such a tasteful band. Nothing but class.

  • Who is playing the drums in this clip?

  • Drummer is Kevin Wilkinson. Former drummer of The Waterboys, China Crisis etc. Kevin is no longer with us which is a great shame as he was a fantastic drummer.

  • Squeeze - my ab fab's! Love em and this is one hell of a brilliant performance. Thanks for posting!

  • uksqueeze, thanks! This is the best version I have heard yet. Wahooo! Go Mr. Difford!

  • Effortlessly rather:)

  • No modern band can play so effortly

  • Chris always soo cool with those velvet collard jackets

  • its frustrating i cant find anyone on utube teaching their songs

  • heres the chords to "up the junction" to get u started E,A,C#m, bridge C#m,G#m,F#m,Bm,Dm,Am,Gm,F,A then play D,G,Bm , D,A, E,A,C#m outro E,A its easier than it looks

  • thanks a lot mate

  • This song and this band just mean so much to me .Dont want to sound like a cliché but they played the soundtrack to my life !!! Also R.I.P KEVIN WILKINSON who is on drums in this video !!!! Glenn & Chris You Just Dont Know How Much Your Songs Reach out to people !!

  • Timeless and still my faves. My kids listen to this these days, makes me proud

  • these guys are ageless...love it!!

  • difford and tillbrook reign supreme

  • I will say, as I have many times, Squeeze is undoubtedly one of the best pop groups of all time. I love the vocal work on this one. These guys have a gift for creating some of the best "bridges", in songs. The arrangement is wild but feels so natural.Only thing I would prefer on this particular tune would have been to play the keyboard part with a Hammond organ,B3 type sound as opposed to the laser strings sound they went with. Typical for the time.

  • what can I say but bloody brilliant. What a band, I just love them especially Glenn.

  • awsome

is that jules holland on the acoustic ??

    lol

  • Nah, that's Chris Difford.

  • He said lol man...whats wrong with you, haha

  • A truly brilliant opo song by one of the greatest pop bands of all time! I agree with earlier comments about Glenn's singing and playing being among the very best. And Conan is too cool to have the sense and outstanding taste to feature them on his show.

    Long live Squeeze!

  • Pop, not opo! I got a dyslexic heart!

  • What a band!

  • I( can't believe that I've never seen this! Looking forward to Wolf Trap (VA) in three weeks

  • eeek a time machine.... they were top drawer when i was a boy and they still are, now my boy is! completely brilliant as always

  • UNDERAPPRECIATED but so was Van Gogh in his time. Beautiful...a sound like no one else's ever. Were to play in Ottawa in 1992 but canceled cause of low ticket sales....How sad!

  • Just listen to Tillbrook pin those notes, kids. One of the all-time, not-made-any-more pop singer / writer / players.

  • Listen to Glenn sing & play lead at the same time. Amazing. He still uses that same Telecaster when he tours with the Fluffers.

  • Squeeze were the greatest, all you need as proof is this clip. Thanks for posting it. I love you and them.

  • Brilliant performance, never got the success they deserved and can't wait to seethem live in November

  • where are they playing in november!!!????

  • Southampton Guildhall

  • Oooooh, nice upload! Thank you Thank you Thank you.

  • Did you all know that Squeeze is going to tour North America in the Summer of 2007?

  • I think they're touring with Fountains of Wayne, both great bands!

  • wow, never knew youtube had street teamers too.

  • A simply amazing group...I'm 19 and my dad's a big fan, very excited that he asked me to see them with him in December. And with it being a reformation, there's so many possibilities...though I sincerely hope they play this and also This Summer, as both are wonderful songs that evoke much joy.

  • Brilliant !! going to see the boys in Liverpool in December , Pure class . Does anyone know if This Summer video is on here ...?

  • Wow, another performance I'd never seen before. This is cool, thanks for uploading. I adore Squeeze. :)

  • thanks very much for this video. Great sound. And Glenn is absolutely brilliant. Love Squeeze to bits. Hello to all Squeeze fans out there on youtube :)

  • Hmm, the real video for this song used to be on this site...I wonder what happened to it? It was so cute. This sounds amazing though. Glenn is flawless and lovely, as usual.

  • great to see them reform for 8 gigs in november & december

  • thanks glovesy uk

  • Amazing performance by greatest band in the history of the known universe. How tight are they!!
