Yeah why no North O lovin? The Beatles would make a perfect soundtrack for it! You should make a video of all the bars liquor stores barber shops, salons and neighborhoods where the street lamps never get a bulb changing.
And definitely hit up that shop on Ames right across from the Taco Bell drive thru assasination, where you can get gold fronts tattoos blunts shoes and airbrushed shirts of your dead homies for sho!

I got tired of hearing about all the crime on the news every night. I'm NOT racist & I DON'T like to stereotype people but there's definately more violence in that area & it's been spreading outward. it was getting so bad that I got my family "the hell out of Dodge" and moved across the river 10 min north of Council Bluffs (Iowa) in 2007.

Hey Miley...I'm from Omaha but I had to get out after it started becoming more dangerous to live there. I live about 15 minutes from the big O now, just north of CB, but I can tell that the crime rate is getting worse over there and it makes me wonder how long it's gonna be until it spreads across the river like an infection. Don't get me wrong though...It makes me sad to see the cancer getting worse. Thankfully, there's still a lot of decent/cool people still around. It's the way of the world.

Some may like it there, not saying they don't, but I would say its moreso the people who have lived there or maybe went to college there and got attached. Not a place I can just see people coming too tho.
omaha is great if you live around downtown or dundee, but the rest is either ghetto or ugly suburban sprawl. there are a few exceptions to this, but they are rare.
west omaha is boring in it's architecture. it doesn't have any character. everything looks the same out there. i didn't say it was ghetto... well, at least most of it isn't.
i just don't enjoy omaha if i go west of 72nd street. there is nothing out there that i want to see.

Omaha is not a tourist city. It's home. There are good things about living in a smaller metropolis. That was kind of the point of this video. The girl that's filming is young and still has no idea of what or how to show visitors her city,but she WANT'S to show you and that should tell people something. Is breathable air a problem? Could be that you hate "Indi" music? And if you concider Dave and Busters "something to do",that explains a lot. There are some very rich and successful(and famous) people who know the value of Omaha,but not you.

Like the vid, Omaha looks nice too, not too busy, I live between Liverpool where the beatles came from and Manchester, Oasis. 20 mins from each. I prefer Liverpool out of the 2, the people are lots more friendly and theres loads to see and do.
I'm from western PA, but since my mom and her family is from Omaha we get to go there every summer. I love the city and especially the zoo. It is worth the twelve hour car drive.

Some may like it there, not saying they don't, but I would say its moreso the people who have lived there or maybe went to college there and got attached. Not a place I can just see people coming too tho.
And being on coastlines is a lot better to me.

omaha is great if you live around downtown or dundee, but the rest is either ghetto or ugly suburban sprawl. there are a few exceptions to this, but they are rare.

How Omaha has changed since I left twenty years ago. I miss some of old land marks, but memorial park has always been a doper park at night, since I was a kid growing up. thanks for the walking through semi-memory lane.

i kind of take offence at this comment. i understand what you are trying to get across, but what you have to understand is that the places you mentioned are tourist friendly. Omaha is not a tourist city. It's home. There are good things about living in a smaller metropolis. That was kind of the point of this video. Just because my state is one of the least popular and least known about, doesn't mean that we are aliens. We travel just like everyone else, but we go home to Nebraska.

thats not true. i go to the movies, i go to restaurants. i go shopping. i go to the zoo. i go downtown. I took a trip to San Fran a few years ago and most of what i did was touristy things. If i lived there, i would probably do the same things as in omaha. i'd go to the movies, shop, eat out.

There are a lot of truely great things in Omaha. The girl that's filming is young and still has no idea of what or how to show visitors her city,but she WANT'S to show you and that should tell people something. Is breathable air a problem? Could be that you hate "Indi" music? And if you concider Dave and Busters "something to do",that explains a lot. There are some very rich and successful(and famous) people who know the value of Omaha,but not you.

I have been living in omaha for 2 and a half years. It SUCKSSSSS. You are so lucky to be living in California it is my dream to live there. I moved here from Las Vegas and i miss the west coast so much. It is so cold in the winter, snow sucks i absolutley hate here. It not exciting at ALL. and es, it is a big weatfield.
P.S. Your right about Memorial if you wanna smoke pot there's your heaven.

But back then, the rumbles(no weapons) usually ended with a few new friends and we'd teach each other how we like to party. it was fun. Usually. I don't miss my youth but,man,those were the days.

Like the vid, Omaha looks nice too, not too busy, I live between Liverpool where the beatles came from and Manchester, Oasis. 20 mins from each. I prefer Liverpool out of the 2, the people are lots more friendly and theres loads to see and do.

i live in Westside area and i go to wms. I wish you could have spent more time in the downtown area like old market. u spent like 2 min. in Westgate. I know you live there an everything, but Westgate or Old Market, which one is better? I am sorry but i have to with the historic old market.
