I have the biggest tip for you ever. I know its a while off until you get them taken off but, when you do. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR YOUR RETAINER!!! I didnt, i was all "yeah what ever they wil be fine" Oh how wrong i was!!
I know how you feel! You do feel totally different with braces, it makes you so self concious! But just think how worth it that it will be, keep smiling no matter what (: xxxx
It is a painful process, and each time they tighten them but it will be worth it in the end. I got mine when I was in fourth grade and they started with the top, but then in eighth grade they put them on the bottom and just left the tops on till the bottoms were ready, and got them off just before my first year of high school. I had the silver ones. Had to wear a head gear at night, so 80s lol. But I have had straight teeth ever since, yes I wear my retainers at night, you'll love the end result
Are you suppose to wear retainers for the rest of your life? because my orthodonist told me 2 years at night then i can throw them out and im scared mine will move now :/
It is totally worth the pain cause you will love your teeth afterwards. When the braces come off all you'll want to do is spend time staring at your teeth. Oh, also once your gums get used to them your mouth will hurt less and you'll soon talk normal. Plus, they are barely noticeable and you look adorb.
I have had braces since I was 8, and I'm nearly 16 now, and I know exactly how you felt at first but braces are so common nowadays people don't look at them now the way that they did, your a beautiful lady and yes you talk slightly differently but you just have to try and be as confident as you can, and I know it's easier said than done but the end result is fantastic, and I love my teeth now, so I hope they dont cause you too much trouble, things will get easier as you get further down the lin
Thank you for the informative video; now I know a bit more of what to expect when I go in for my appointment. You really do look great, Karris; and just think how even more gorgeous you'll be in a few short months! :-)
Didn't even notice you had them! I think it's wonderful how much you share with your viewers - it's good stuff to know :) I actually wanted to get braces but unfortunately they don't cure larger front teeth - mine aren't crazy big and they are straight, but i wish they were a tad smaller. One of my sisters and my aunt and my cousin got braces and it's definitely made a huge difference. My sister nina is 20 and has had them off for 6 years, teeth are now perfect! Good luck Karris <3 xoxo
I am 20 now but I got braces on when I was about 15 for two years. If I give u any advice it will be to purchase the strongest pain killers and take them as soon as u get them tightened. I went through so many sleepless nights and feeling like I had been kicked repeatedly in the face. I ate pretty much everything except bitting into an apple and none of my brackets came off. I hated my braces and they gave me a LOT of pain
i had metal braces for 2 years and the only things tht hurt me where bread and apples and stuff but once you get used to them youll be able to eat normal again it takes a little while and youll forget there even on x
They look fab u can't even notice them it will be sooooo worth it in the end I had braces for 2.5 years!!! And my teeth have moved slightly so wear ur retainer reliogiously. It's alot of money but just think of the money people spend on boob jobs, lipo, nose jobs etc teeth are more important!! Xx
just tell yourself that the 6 months of braces is so worth the lifetime of confidence you will have because of this :) you look beautiful with or without braces!
oh gosh I remember using the wax strips! I even had to get part of the metal wire cut off because it was too long and poking my gums. But you should use them for comfort and don't worry, the final product is definitely worth it :)
U cn buy the ortho wax in boots by the way. Dont worry about the pain, its means the braces r working. The pain.usually lasts 4 3 days afta you have had them tightened. X
I've had these braces but i left them in for 18 months, i got very particular after 6 months i.knew they cud look better if i left them in longer, u might feel the same. Im so happy with them nw! I had a wire put in the back of my teeth to prevent them moving back. Plus retainers every night!
you'll get used to your braces so quickly. i got my braces off july 2011 and i had them for nearly 3 years - i missed them a little bit! retainers are fine too, it's really not a hassle wearing them at night. you'll be so pleased with the results so everything will be worth it. :) xxx
6 months really is nothing! You'll get used to the braces really quickly: how they feel in your mouth, eating and talking with them, everything. :) I had mine more than ten years ago, for about 1,5 years, but they were the metal ones. Yours are hardly even visible! But retainers every night for the rest of your life? Wow, your really have a ton of willpower if you're going to do that!
Anyway, the best part is when the braces come off and your teeth feel super smooth and they're straight, too:)
Thats so good they are teeth coloured, mines were big ugly silver things that you could spot a mile off! I like how you took really close up before pics, you are not going to believe the difference! You mentioned in the video that you have really sensitive teeth, can I ask how getting your teeth whitened before affected them? I'm dying to go get mines whitened but am terrified of the pain! I have 14-day whitening strips but can't last past 3 days before it's unbearable xx
The pain dies down after a few weeks, and then I was able to eat almost anything, except from chocolate truffles they broke to brackets off :( when they are tightened it only hurts for like two days and after a few tightenings you don't feel the pain at all :D Once you get your retainers you'll find it really hard to keep them on, it's really frustrating haha - good luck with your braces and thanks for all your amazing videos :D xx
you can buy the tubs of wax in boots :) having braces is totally worth it ive had mine on for almost three years and still have another year to go lol once you see your teeth start to move you know its going to be worth it. the pain goes away eventually and you get used to eating with them. you will feel better about them being there i have the metal ones and i got used to them pretty quickly xxx
@littleladybird28 Thanks for the support, good to know others have gone through it ok! Wow, four years - thats a long time. You must be so excited to get them off! :) x

I've had braces for 5 years during puberty.
Now I'm 28 and all my shit's crooked again, mostly due to wisdom teeth.
I want it done now I'm looking at those outboard ones. Hell no.
