Diesector might not be the most gut-ripping bot out there, but you have to admit that thing is well built. It evolved to become a very sturdy and reliable design complying with an arsenal of weapons and variants on a competition that isn't just about brute force, but durability. Plus it's just so cool looking, hence why Diesector is my second favorite combat robot ever built (just behind Razer).

Donald Hudson's reaction pretty much sums up just how badly he wanted to beat Gage Cauchois. I mean, Tazbot lost to Vlad the Impaler in the heavyweights in seasons 1 and 2, then Diesector lost its super-heavyweight crown to Vladiator in season 3. It's good to see that Donald FINALLY has a win against Gage, especially when it mattered most.

apparently this fight was cut short by that last big slam into the lexan when Diesector pushed Vladiator. it supposedly cracked and damaged the lexan and therefore caused a safety hazard.

You know Vladiator switching from a spike to a wedge kind of ruins Gage's theme of being an anti-wedge. The ORIGINAL Vlad the Impaler took out wedges in its fight.

for it being a minute and a half fight, it was truly intense and i wish i could have seen more but hey, they had to stop the fight because the plexi glass panel got hit at some point in the fight...it was when vlad slammed diesector in the fight

It may not look like much because of the kind of armor the opponents are wearing, but maybe you'd like to stand in front of one of those things and take a few hits, huh?

i think the spike worked better for vladiator than the flipper wedge thing he has now. even though the spike wasn't durable. trimangle surprised us all. haha.

Heh. They dub sound library effects over the bigger crashes/impacts (one in particular is easy to pick out at 1:24 - 1:25.) I hate TV shows which dub FX to make crashes and explosions sound better, when the actual crash should create plenty of noise on its own.

The sounds effects they dubbed were worse than the actual sound of the fights. Especially whenever there's a gas-powered spinner in the arena.

CC did a poor job handling the show. Showing less fights every season, not showing the rumbles (what kind of bastard doesn't show the rumbles?) They didn't even explain why this fight was stopped early!

Though nothing they did was as irritating as editing the length of the fight, or showing replays during the fight.

This fight was awesome, it needed be longer. Both sides were fighting very well, albeit with no real damage. I was a bit surprised how fast they were going.

They didn't cancel it. Some dumb robot show called robotica on Nick at nite got jealous of how much cash battlebots was raking up so they sued them, and comedy central gave up battle bots. At least there are YouTube videos of it. Good vid though. That was vlad the impalers new version!

@Chiefjosh2000 Robotica was ran by the same group that did Robot Wars. I know there was a lawsuit between the two of them, but that pre-dated the show by a whole number of years. Robot Wars lost.

@Firestorm2900 robotica was terrible...a bunch of obstacle courses and the final match was a fight that lasted 30 seconds on a platform way up in the air that was maybe 6feet by 6 feet.

At 2:24, you can see one of the lexan panels gets busted from its seams when Vladiator and Diesector slam into it and it's hanging by a thread.

Still, it's a darn shame that this fight didn't go a full three minutes; they definitely topped the fight they had in season 3

You can see it when Vladiator slams Diesector into the wall, the lexan is not together at the seam.

I'd rather see their first bout from a couple years before this. That one lasted the full three minutes, was won by a razor-thin margin, and the crowd at the end was chanting "Three more minutes! Three more minutes!" I can't find that fight, however, it's from 3.0

I have some fights. Once I find my tape with the end of season 3 Ill have all the last fights including diesector and vladiators first fight. It won't have very good quality though, however, poor quality is better than none I suppose.
