I have the 99 xlt 4.0 SOHC and it seems to do OK Check out my video and let me know. IMO it is pretty fast for a V6.... Yours sounds good what exhaust do you have?
I sold my 5.0 EX had the GT40 plenum that thing moved too. Waiting for the new owner a buddy of mine to run it against this V6 lol
@warmerstill at the point of this video it had been stripped of its interior, the front driveshaft removed, full aftermarket intake (Cold air intake, manifold, intake elbow, throttle body), GMS 65,000 volt ignition coils, JBA short headers, High flowing cats, and magnaflow exhaust. and a custom tune for 93 octane fuel. I have a 5.4L built engine with trick flow heads and mild cams planed for the future, should be seeing 0-60 times under 5.5 seconds
@exile907 i have a 94 with the 4.0 liter v-6 id be happy if mine could do this its about to get an electric fan conversion exhaust and a cam with heads turbo in the future
@natev6 yeah, wish i could have FOUND one to buy when i was looking for an SUV years ago. Not to mention you can drop a cobra supercharger on for about a grand and have a high to mid 13 truck...
@exile907 Yea they are sick rides! My 5.0 explorer works great but to much work to do a cam swap and heads, just gonna trade it in for an aviator! Nice 0-60 though for sure!
that would be between my headers + tune from hensonperformance. I have done pretty much every bolt-on you can do to these trucks, and have done a TON of maintanance to them. So feel free to send me a PM with any questions you might have.

I know I'm dusted by most--especially your SUV, but if my battery is fully charged and with an 'empty load', the car is not a slug--which is my whole point, I misspoke in my freeaking video about beating SUVs and now everyones SUV goes 0-60 in 6 seconds, which I believe you prove is not very probable given your times. Nice job—PS light weight wheels no bigger then 17s make a big diff.
Nice run, I had an 05 Sport Trak, the engine was made in Cologne Germany and trhe trany was from France? for whatever thatr is worth--but I loved that truck. Sold it after buying the Prius becouse I drive ALOT! I think youd only get me by a half car if i ripped out some #s...
with a prius? i have actualy raced a pruis at the friday night drags... i won by a lot more than a car lenght :P this thin gets down the track at 14.95 at around 89 mph.
