I started a fan page for Dan Malone (the artist on this game) on facebook recently, and via various links and posts I managed to contact Dan himself to talk to him about it, he was very touched his work was still loved...I mean, his work is classic! He even started to upload concept sketches from The Chaos Engine and also the original arena design for Speedball 2.

Great intro with a wonderful music... sprite animation for the players and graphics are wonderful. But, I felt after a while the gameplay was boring... and I give up. Thank you for posting the longplay. Somehow I am disapointed to see such a good idea being spoiled into a game like that. After seeing the intro back in '80, I thought the game would be around discovering technologies lead by your ancestors? So, I was waiting for other cool stuff around...
I had this on an Apple II, which was released in the US as Rad Warrior. Unfortunately the game virtually unplayable, the graphics (which looked great, BTW) were way too complex for a machine lacking sprite capabilities to handle, making for some very slow and very frustrating gameplay. :(
Brilliant game! I neither had a booklet nor any other information when I played it back in the days and wandered around for hours until I found out how to activate the suit...
This was a great game for it's time. Graphics were way ahead of anything else. I think Shadow Of The Beast owed a lot to this game. It wasn't perfect but highly original with a great story (And a great themse tune!)

One of the best games I had on my Sharp MZ800. Those were the days of good hunting and good sleeping:)
