  • Great video. I finally got it. The pictures in the ami ami dogs book just don't cut it. Thanks for making this.

  • thank you soooo much! I finally understood how to make it!

  • Maybe its the yarn I'm using or maybe it's my technique, but I can NEVER see my stitches >.<. Any advice?

  • @teecuppit3a Having a good light source is the best thing you can do for your vision, when you're crafting, whether it's crochet or not. Save up and treat yourself to an Ott brand light or some other kind that gives natural quality light. Using bright colours helps as well. Without seeing your yarn, hook or technique, I can't be of any more help, sorry.

  • @WireMySoul Thanks so much! I ended up getting a better lamp and using a brighter yarn (the only one I had was white, but hey) I was originally using a dark-ish grey. Then, I showed my mom the Amigurumi book I had, and SHE figured out how to do it then taught me. Hahaha. Now, I'm successful.

  • i love you crochet hook its soo cute.and i loveur vidds and can u make a vid about how to make amigurmi bunnys

  • I know you get this a LOT but can I just say...

  • @KittyCookieChan Hey, it's all about the happy bunnies! Thanks for commenting!

  • This is golddust :D

And There's something about the colours of your nails, your crochet hook and the yarn that's oddly endearing

  • Thank you. I had to watch many times before I got it because it was a bit blurry and I've never crocheted but now I got it!! thank you so much. wish I would have found your free site before I paid for this book I have lol. Thanks again :)

  • @LorianneMG I'm still working on my video-making skills. Thanks for your kind comment!

  • Thanks for making Amigurumi tutorials! ive been dying to make these and others dont have videos on how to make Amigurumis. Thanks, again!

  • Thank you so much Jan, you have saved me from going mad.

I have spent hours trying to do this from my book and after watching many videos I got to yours and have successfully done my first perfect magic circle..your an angel thanks again..

  • @shezie16 You're most welcome! Thanks for taking time to comment!

  • It's seems so easy when you do it. I always get something wierd on my second round (12 st). Then i start over and keep messing up. When i sc 2 times into the first stitch i get this gap. I've seen in your vid that you have a gap when you do the stitch but when your on the next stitch it's gone. I cant seem to find the right way to do it. Any tips? (also great tutorials i hope i can do it this way some day).

  • @Redostrike Make sure you cinch that first round shut really nicely, then go for it with the increases. Even if you find a gap there to begin with, I think you'll find that as you build your form, it disappears. Sometimes just fiddling with the fabric later will help even out the look of the stitches. Try not to worry about gaps as they happen and just keep going on. Practice makes perfect.

  • Jan, you're my hero! Look at how cool you are! And your fingernails match your background! Haha. That makes me SO ridiculously happy.

  • @Julzaboo And I totally planned it that way too. :P Glad you like it Julzaboo. *hug*

  • aND ALSO WHERE DID YOU GET THAT HOOK?

  • @MegMegcat10 It's a Crochet-Lite hook. They're available on Amazon but I got mine on sale from the local Walmart. These hooks have been a saving grace for someone who suffers tendonitis and carpal tunnel. I can crochet for much longer periods with or without wearing a thera glove and without pain or numbness. I highly recommend them!

  • What color was it?(yarn)

  • @MegMegcat10 It's like fluorescent pink. It doesn't have a colour name on it, but this was hand-me-down stash purchased years and years ago. I don't know if it's available now. The package says colour 3584.

  • what kind of yarn is that? it looks soo smooth!

  • @MegMegcat10 It's Patons Canadiana 100% Acrylic yarn that was given to me by a friend who was de-stashing. Yay for hand-me-down yarn! XD

  • Ooh! Can you show me a tutorial on how you make those adorable piggies and mushrooms? :D I'm always looking for new patterns to try out~ I'll do a tutorial on my panda and kitty, and my Chain Chomp from the Mario and Zelda games~ :3

  • @Purly The pattern for that pig is available free on my blog and on AllFreeCrochet. com

  • this video is soooo relaxing to watch lol
