Yes, but in the season finale Jacob gave Hurley a guitar. The creators have said the season six premiere is LA X. I say the bomb lets them land at LAX as if the crash never happened. This would explain the Oceanic claim of a perfect safety record. Also, I think the folks Jacob chatted with personally will remember the island, possibly, and will be instrumental in getting everyone to the island again.

Lindelof & Cuse acknowledged that at comic con and told everyone to trust them. they wouldn' make the first 5 seasons mean nothing and had something set for season 6

also said flashbacks, flashforwards and time travel are done. so my theory on all that is they will be doing "what ifs". maybe they will be shown what would have happened if they didnt crash.

I think one of two things:

1.) These commercials are just red herrings

2.) There will be two existing timelines (this would explain what Darlton meant by S6 being told in a new way, without flashbacks, forwards or time travel). One of these two timelines will have to be "chosen" somehow by Jack, et al and I think they will ultimately choose the original timeline even though people die (that way S1-S5 will matter).
