I had the pleasure of dancing with Aletha in 1954. I was a seventh grader and attended her dancing school. She was a well-endowed beauty with a lot of charm.
Through the efforts of Art Lamb's daughter Jill, this rare print (belonging to Art Lamb's widow) was digitized for posterity by James Snyder and George Weber of the Library of American Broadcasting, housed at the University of Maryland in College Park. The program was split into two parts in order to fit YouTube's 10-minute maximum.
Most of the tapes and kinescopes from Dumont were thrown into the East River in NYC during the mid-late 70s as a warehouse cleaned out all its worthless material. They should have waited til the early 80s to see that it was gonna be worth lots with cable.
Yes, that is my Aunt Aletha. I spent some time with her before she passed away a few years ago in Long Beach California, where she was married to Travis.
Boy--looks like this one was saved in the nick of time--degredation must have happenedone one side of the reel.

Hi, Michael Agee here. This is my fathers sister. Is there a way I can have the two videos of Aletha?
Thanks.

Looks like the print was water damaged at some point. We're lucky that this exists.
