Why is it a good thing if we are manifestations of our soul not facing inner light?

I'm just wondering on that. If our souls are spiritually in denial, should we even care to learn for the soul that doesn't want to accept it's own spirituality? It has always been my understanding that we have a body, mind, and soul and we are a spirit.

Clarification would be great!

I use to see Pat , Emmanuel & Judith Stanton( who asked the questions ) quite alot in CT in the 80's. There was nothing like it. Tapes were made of these talks & I hope to find a way to hear them some day. I noticed a diffrent between Pat & Emmanuel and to be quite honest I can't see an average human being coming up with three hours of off the cuff gold like Pat &E. did time & again. I knew people whose just written that minute questions were asked , it was real . Thanks for posting!

i read most of the books by Pat/Emmanuel and listened to a few recordings about 20 years ago. I don't believe for one second that Emmanuel is a unique identity channeled by Pat, but that "he" is an extension oh her own consciousness. Regardless, I found the words of wisdom to be calming, grounding, and empowering.

I have attended at least 3 of Emmanuel's channeling sessions, and have talked with Pat personally. There used to be a center in the Philadelphia area where Pat was close friends with the leaders there. I was also heavily into ACIM at the time. That first Emmanuel Book was one of the best groundbreaking channel books in the 80s. I also read the 2nd one. The last time I saw them was around 1995-96.  Pat must be 90 by now if she is still alive. You don't hear much anymore.
