i used to breed rabbits when i was just 14 yrs old i am now 24 :-) and both male and female slept in the same hutch and didnt try to mate at all, only when spring arrived and they where outside running about did they mate , lucky and lucy had about 12 litters every last one survived the first little they had was just 2 who i named clover and diamond as one had a white diamond on his head rabbits are amazing and look after the babies extremely well

Please someone email m back about this, and I would like to know ow long rabbit's are pregnant, some signs if they're pregnant, and do you think Fudge (male rabbit) hs got Spirit (female rabbit) pregnant? I know you can't tell right away but what do you think?

And can I have some advice please? I've never delt with baby rabbitz before.

actually, they are only pregnant for a few days... i only think that because u can breed a female rabbit again after just two months. besides that, can't really help you... i'm gonna start breeding bunnies, but it won't be for like another 2 weeks. sorry...

Atchually, They are preganant for about 1month + Depending on the breed. and you can breed her again a few weeks after that, (Buts its not reccomended untill ALL the litter are weaned.)

baby bunnys should never be fed carrots or lettuce,any thing like that, the nest box needs to be clean or they could get bad eyes, the mom will take care of feeding and cleaning the babys and the mom only needs to feed them once or twice a day and if you see that one bunnys eyes arent open but the rest of its litter mates have there eyes open you will have to open them by yourself

I bred both of my rabbits, that was about 4 days ago, A couple ofdays after, the female started to sqeak when you touched her sides, she doesn't squeak now. And I need some signs to know if she's pregnant, my mum said you know if they're prgenant if they start to nest in their fur, and the resuly I got is a bit odd. :P She has a massive pile of hay, fur, bits of cardboard and woodshavings in the corner of her hutch

One of my rabbits has just given birth to a litter of 8 last night, aww they look so small and vulnerable but i always thought both my rabbits were male as ive been told by pro`s and even checked myself lol, guess that did`nt work. Im gonna have to get them neutered coz its abit tight spliting them up for good as they have been together since they were both only a few week old. u never ever keep a male and female together in same hutch as they would breed constatly,which is very bad for the mother ,the male is put with female for 5 mins to do the deed then goes back in his hutch alone, the mother gives birth to the babys 31 days later and feeds and only goes near the nest she has made in the hutch once a day to feed them at about 10 days old the babys leave the nest and start to eat on there own as well as getting fed from mom once a day ,

@24Bisma All you have to do is take the Doe and place it in the bucks cage NOT the buck in the does because she will become territorial and attack and possible kill him. Then watch the 2 mate, it is normal if the doe tries to mate with the buck, just move her and let them continue. Watch until the buck mounts the doe and then will fall back off her and grunt. Watch for about 3 falls, then remove her, if you want you can have him mate more with her..Dont do it on different days though!!!Thanks
