I just found a baby ferret in my backyard this morning, my dog woke me up from barking so much and I found her cornered. I picked her up and brought her inside and washed her up. She belongs to someone because she has a collar and a bell, I don't have the heart to take her to animal control..not after seeing the horrible conditions of that place from when I went to get my German Shepard. I'll keep her until I find the owners, and post fliers around the neighborhood.
@Artary I'm glad you found the little one! She was probably so scared! I might contact your local humane society and ferret shelters around the area and let them know you have found her. It's pretty common for people who have lost pets to contact the shelter to ask if their pet has been found by anyone. I might also try posting in the "Found" section on craigslist! Good luck!!

My ferrets love thoes little green foam things. they're made of startch[however you spell it] so it can be digested by the ferrets, it's perfectly safe and organic. I discourage them eating it, incase I get a package with regular package nuts, I don't want them thinking they're all safe. but if they get ahold of the green ones then I know that it's safe and wont cause internal blockage
Really gorgeous ferret but having the foam near to her could cause her a fatal blockage if she eats it. I don't let mine near foam, rubber, cork or anything that can block them. Hope that helps. S x

He/She is indeed right! Ferrets have extremely fragile, thin, long spines. They're easily damaged so you should try to be as careful as possible when handling them theyre not as sturdy as a regular pet.
