Once again Tommy shows his superior sense of taste. Mario 64 the greatest game ever LMAO he probably says that whenever a new mario game comes out. Mario 64 is like the weakest title if you break it down to the gameplay. Take away everything else. You can only play it for short periods without getting bored compared to destroying mario 3 5 times in one day with no whistles.

Although I enjoyed the old "Tommy/Vic" setup, it wasn't the most professional of reviews. I can't imagine Tommy on the show these days. He'd probably get booted off faster than anything.

@BlueBlazer89 The differences between the two consoles. N64 could only produce polygons it was a completely 3d console. PSX games would overlay 2d sprites over the polygons in a lot of cases to give them a more finished look or just use sprites like MMX4.

@simwarn Sprite rendering. N64 was a polygon engine so they couldn't layer sprites over the 3d polygons. PSX had much more crisp rounded graphics.

@tweaker61 The reason they mostly do iphone/ipad app reviews is because they're sponsored by Rogers now (they'll mention it at least twice in every episode). Rogers is essentially the only company that sells iPhones and iPads with 3G, so obviously they would try to make Reviews on the Run promote it as heavily as possible.

Love these guys but I definitely dont agree with Tommy about Tomb Raider and Mario's graphics. Tomb Raider did not age well at all and it looks horrid where as Mario still looks impressive even today and has amazing polish/detail for such an old game.

Wow... saying something like that definitely makes them cocky alright. I find X-play nowadays to be, no offense, very nerdy. I remember seeing one episode where they had this Soul Calibur 4 tornament match for video game players to fight one another. In my opinion I find that pretty pointless.

i agree. the hosts on xplay dont even review the games , its liek they are just reading a script ment to be "sarcastic" and "funny" and just ends up being really nerdy and doesnt really elt ya know if the game is good or not . a rating system out of 5 just doesnt work. at least with reiews on the run you get 2 different opinions from two different people.

I admit some of the jokes REALLY suck but since Adam has taken over the episodes have been more game-focused. Webb does so-so reviews but Adam is always spot on and does great reviews.

X-Play is a joke compared to RotR. Victor Lucas is the perfect example of a perfect video game journalist. Very professional and knowledgeable. Tommy Tallarico compliments Lucas' style perfectly with his wacky humour that keeps the viewers entertained.

Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler know nothing and aren't even funny when they try to be.
