  • woooooooow

  • RZA is amazing to be fair, so much passion!!!

  • I LOVE his accent and the way he talks. I think it's cute. I love that he's so passionate about so many things.

  • i do the same thing with my slores, irrelevant phone calls

  • PEACE!!!!! lol

  • even when hes talking he sounds like hes rappin

  • Ghostface Black Cream Look it up.

  • well he did produce most of the music in afro so yeah no wonder his ringtone is the opening theme ;)

  • Man, RZA is so underrated as a rapper its crazy the cat kills most people in hte game today lyrically not counting wu,tribe, public enemy etc....

  • Eric Clapton played the Guitar!

  • Why use the guitar to learn how to play guitar?!

  • 1:30

    afro samurai intro song!!!!!

  • dude, the Afro theme as his ring tone is fuckin dope.

  • This is a good video foreal''Rza''.''Wu-Tang Clan''.

  • PEACE hahaha!

  • I want that Afro Samurai theme ringtone!!!!

  • Cool interview, seem like a really passionate guy , nice to see

  • for those that dont know, he greets by saying peace, because thats how gods and earths greet each other before they talk, its kind of like hey, or yo, but dont confuse peace with hey or yo lol.. but anywayz RZA IS THE SHIT!

  • that was a good interview, when iz rza going 2 speak about shaolin vs wu tang ? ? raekwon said its coming out soon whats the deal with that?

  • while ?

  • Damn i fuckin love how he answers his phone ima start doin that

  • He is absolutley right about Ghostface's verse3. Shit was pure genious. Heart gantly weeps is one of my favorite all time Wu songs

  • I fucking love wu-tang I fucking love the beatles I fucking love hiphop I fucking love all music and I fucking love expressing my opinion on youtube!

  • Hold on, that's my wife. "Peace."

  • much respect for rza....fuk i want that his ringtone at 1:36

  • Look for the soundtrack from Afro Samurai, I'm pretty sure it's on that. It's from the theme of that show.

  • about dope!

  • The fuckin RZA man. Inspirational as fuck to a musician

  • Lol aint too many men can answer their wife "Pz"

  • WOW.... all that work went into a song that I skip every time on this album. RZA over produces now-a-days. The best song on 8 Diagrams isn't even produced by RZA, but by Easy Mo Bee. Now I love RZA... but he needs to get off these peoples dicks and make some real shit again.

  • @ThaNotoriousBEN IF IT DONT MAKE DOLLARS THEN IT DONT MAKE SENSE - those will know...

  • @Preset1 .... but 8 Diagrams didn't even go gold... not getting your point.

  • ehhh. rza's shit has always been good, but i feel you.he has been "overproducing" i miss

    Enter the Wu Tang

  • @Foshow112 ... yeah... check out Dangermouse's remix of Jay Z's "What More Can I Say". That is the best use of that sample I've ever heard... Dangermouse is a genius.... so is RZA... but Danger beat RZA on this one. Danger just used the record.... old school.

  • haha. i been on the grey album ,that shit is genius, i think it made the Black Album better than it already was.

dangermouse is one of my favorite producers, even the stuff he did with The Black Keys and Sparklehorse is pretty incredible, but take into account that RZA let Mark Ronson use his drum sounds on Frank By Amy Winehouse.

  • ya dude i dont even listen to wu-tang forever much less 8 diagrams, but after all this time i can still listen to every song on 36 no skipping

  • It aint like Easy Mo Bee is some small time producer man, the guy worked with Miles Davis, Tupac n Biggie. sayin his is better dosent mean RZAs is bad

  • songs great shows rza real, his musics true

  • damn..shits real..

  • what song is playing in the background?

  • Afro Samurai theme

  • I wish this guy could teach me how he makes those beats.

  • same way that sinatra said that 'sinatra' was one of the greatest love songs lennon/mccartney ever wrote

  • Idk this is worse. Mostly because While My Guitar Gently Weeps is one of the most popular songs of all time. I'm pretty sure RZA didn't even realize Harrison was singing on it as well.

  • Sorry, I have no idea why i put 'sinatra' in quotes. Obviously distracted by the video. I meant to say that Sinatra said that 'Something' was a Lennon/McCartney song. Poor George never got his props for the work he did with the Beatles.

  • lol he has the afro samurai theme as his ring tone. stays true to his music.

  • so i was proven wrong! Not all african americans dislikes the beatles.

  • It's funny how you try to come off as nice but yet come off so racist

  • i don't try to come off as nice.

  • lol

  • dam, that was deep how he broke down the concept at the end

  • Its really great to see the greatest artists in music of our days showing such respect to the greatest musicians of some time ago. Leave it to RZA to have that level of appreciation for musical creation all throughout styles of music and time.

  • ey, wait a secons is my wife.....PEACE!!! lol, RZA = Legendary....Wu!

  • RZA is a legend, sound as fuck as well....

    R.I.P. ODB

    Bring Da Ruckas!!!

  • ......... that's one of the heaviest stories i've ever heard, period.

  • this interview is awesome, rza is the shit

  • The drug dealer's weepin'? I don't think so. Those kids live large & don't care about you, me nor anyone else. It's all about how much money they're makin'.

  • i thought that might've initially been true, even while i was listening to rizza say that, but then i stopped and thought, "man rza knows what he's saying. he's LIVED that life, i'm sure, in some capacity." who the fuck am i to disagree? and if you've never experienced that side, who the fuck are you, as well?

  • 'Cuz I'm down there buyin my $hit everyday. I see them selling,..to ANY addict who's got the cash. No,..not a one of 'em is teary eyed. Maybe they're more sensitive where you live?

  • love his ringtone :D afro samurai intro - best intro ever

  • this is 5 mins of pure genious

the last minute is amazing wit the comparisons to dope and a guitar

    rza is an absolute genious

  • fuck, ghostface's verse is the best IMO

  • ahaha he answers his wife "PEACE"

  • @LlamaWarfare

    That was epic

  • luvin his last comment he really thinks about the message he wants 2 send and how to do it!

  • he looks really young for his age

  • @THExAFROxSAMURAI because he;s a vegan...

  • did he just say that Dhani Harrison is a fan of wu tang clan?? i kinda find that funny

  • lol, well dhani said somewhere that "they're pretty scary" or "they probably don't like a white boy liking their music"

  • why?

  • thats why your a fucken loser

  • big eyes ftw

  • arm.leg.leg.arm.head

  • That fuckin ringtone he has is hotter than my heart gently weeps.

  • IDV, wu tang has waaayyyyyyy better lyricists than Bone Thugz, take your head out of your ass

  • buy a nike headband folks!

  • this is one of the most legit interviews ever..the guy gets a call from his wife while hes eating and doing an interview..much respect

  • wu tang! seattle loves u niggas

  • I LIKE HIS AFRO SAMURAI RINGTONE

  • IDV84

    tupac and outlawz great

    bone thug great

but the Wu are you serious they changed the movement of hip hop in the world.

  • true, given respect to the early-mid 90's era. but prior to them, N.W.A. did that. before N.W.A., Public Enemy changed the movement, but even before that Run-DMC are most noted for such a change. No disputing Wu's mark on hip-hop history...flawless. Guarantee Miami had heavy Wu rotation, if IDV84's old enuff to remember...dude's high strung on denial

  • they dont need to sell cds they're already established as a legendary group.

  • nigga you cant be serious...outlawz a legendary group? do you hear anyone talk about the outlawz as much as wu tang? i dont think so (maybe if pac didnt die they would have become legendary, who knows) bone thugs were cool, but i wouldnt call them legendary. wu tang has influenced so many people. you realize how many people have mentioned C.R.E.A.M. in their songs? even west coast artists such as pac and the game have mentioned it.

either your a west coast dick rider, or u just dont know rap

  • And Tupac worked with Wu Tang on ''Got My Mind Made Up''

  • Only legandary in New York? Bullshit! I live in Norway, their big here! Their big in America, in Sweden, in Denmark, in England.

In the rest of Europe, and in Asia, Africa, everywhere!

    Aint that big?

  • Wow, you're just stupid beyond words...

  • Man, fuck Miami, we're talkin global here. Wu-Tang is heard all over the world. What you got down in Miami anyways, fake ass niggas like Rick Ross and DJ Khaled. Fuck that shit, I'll take Wu over that any day.

  • clearly you're a moron

  • Although I personally don't really like them touching The Beatles what more can u ask for Wu-Tang & The Beatles? The Gods of hip-hop & rock together! I still wish to see a collabo album from RZA & the god of electronica Liam Howlett (The Prodigy).

  • the beatles are awesome they made fucking good music ....they re geniuses songwriter

  • He's a Genius

  • No GZA is the Genius, (just joking).

  • RZA is such a legend seems like a sound man

  • i personally dig the song... meth and rae are weak on it but ghost MORE than makes up for that... His verse was rediculous

  • The song is fucking Weak and i love the Rza but this shit ain't cutting it.

  • i love wu tang they truly in my heart but the rza made a mistake with this song rae and ghost were very verbal over their dislike of the new sound i think they were right on this one there are a few missteps on the 8 diagrams record but shit they still the best out there i only listen to wu and affiliates i gave up on other artists years ago keep it humble keep it wu, music for the everyman!!!!

  • when he went to mime him self on the telephone put up like a mic first at like 2:46. Rza us hella dope

  • Sorry Xavier but for u to question Master RZA's musical know-how it shows ur limited musical intelligence and highlights ur punchin above ur weight...RZA is one of the most respected, not jus by rappers, film producers/directors and rockstars all turn to him for help when it comes to song production..i love how he has the afro samurai tone for his ring tone.

  • i love rza and wu-tang, but it's a bit off he didn't know about george harrison's songs

  • Music is so fucking personal I don't think anyone should scrutinize anyone for voicing their opinions

  • RZA said himself that he wishes he could have written the record. So what do hiphop producers do when they find it difficult to make original music? They sample brilliant artists like the beatles and more specifically in wutang's case, old soul and motown records. I think sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. What RZA did for wutang early on was creative in its own right and for the most part worked. I think re-working this Beatle's song was a mistake and end result was flat and boring

  • best song on the whole album all way no doubt MAGIC

  • yo don't diss the beatles but this douche bag here needs to fix his thinking here,

    RZA's a legend for a reason dude.

no one says you gotta like it.

quit your bitchin and listen to strawberry fields im gonna go put on 36 chambers

  • Jayxavier,

Your parents might very well be brother and sister.

The rza is currently one of the MOST INFLUENTIAL musicians in the MODERN music scene.

Nowadays he mostly does Scores for movies and the likes, not unlike OTHER influential musicians such as... well... Thomas newman, philip glass.

The beatles are has beens, and i was NEVER impressed by their simplistic way of making retarded music.

You have no idea what you are talking about, please go sleep with your wife and sister.

  • did you just compare wu tang and the beatles? not smart

  • you guys are fucking stupid hes using the song the by the beatles as a beat he dosnt have to like the beatles know who made or w/e he happend to like the beat and thought it would good to go with his raps so shut the fuck up hes obviosuly not retarded considering he makes more money then prob everyone who posted a comment on here combined so dont be a fucking idiot and think before what u say

  • hey cunt, beatles sampled also, hush your mouth, have a good day =D

  • actually, cunt, the beatles didn't sample to enhance their music, john lennon sampled on ONE track to enhance the surrealism. they wrote all of their own music...

    ...cunt.

  • do your research first off, second off, sampling is something cherished in hip hop, third off, Harrisons son is on the track because he understands hip hop, you on the other hand don't know shit obviously, so hows about you stop listening and go listen to music you DO like? i know i prefer the beatles over anyone, so instead of fighting with you, im going to go listen to the beatles, you can continue to argue about the sampling

  • Um...Rza has produced and played his own instruments on hundreds of songs.

And hey, If the SON OF GEORGE HARRISON blesses this track himself. Why the FUCK would I care about some loser on the internets opinion

  • Well who knows, but you seem pretty pissed. Judging by the angry caps lock.

What has Harrison's son ever done anyway? Being the son of a genius does not make a genius in any sense. Dhani Harrison is worthless.

  • i dont know how you can be an idiot at music and make one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time, listen to "enter the 36 chambers" and then go suck a dick.

  • who the fuck are you to question the brilliance of anything wu tang??? You don't shit about music - your no musician because you just a close minded bitch ass and prolly got NO STYLE!!!

  • are you handicapped buddy, we dont go to stupid beatles videos and make fun of them, if u hate wu tang so much why u watching this video. we dont trash your music so why you trash ours. both wu tang clan and the beatles are extremely skilled in different ways.honestly you cant say they dont write there own music. the 30 seconds the beatles actually do play in the song covers only like 2% of the lyrics in the whole song. come back when you know what your talkin about. i look forward to your reply

  • Writing words is extremely simple, esp when it's all 'i fucked this bitch, im the best rapper alive' etc. Writing music is difficult. Wu tang writes their lyrics, but they sample music written by other songwriters, either that or they play a keyboard and make extremely simple music. RZA is actually kind of a cool guy, but i'm sure he can't write or play 'MUSIC', for shit. He can just throw stuff together and produce semi-ok rap records, that get overhyped because we all have to like rap, now.

  • jayxavier you are completely wrong. firstly the Wu and all its members are incredible lyricists. EMCEES NOT RAPPERS. they have conscous raps that tell stories, with amazing vocabulary and metaphors, put on a few or their albums ull know what im talking about, dont act like you know what you;re saying because you've heard the songs that get all the radio play. they are pioneers.

And as for the RZA, sampling music is an art, you need immense knowledge of music, rhythm and creativity to do so

  • jay xavier honestly like 7 people now have completely proved your wrong, read the comments buddy everyone on here is more intelligent than you, your wasting your time. get your facts straight

  • jay just shut up, ur making urself look stupid

  • I love all kinds of music as long as it soothes my ear. I listen to rock, classic, hip hop and whatever. I agree, hip hop isnt always the most intelligent music, alot of lyrics is just plain childish (come on, grown men talkin about money, bitches and hoes, not original and downright dumb), but as long as its catchy and/or funny im with it. Doesnt have to be intelligent to be good...

  • Wu is intelligent

  • you obvioulsy do not know hip hop, being that its artist are some of the most intelligent out there. you believed what pop culture has tried to pass off as hip hop, when its not. lil wayne, t.i, nelly, 50cent etc, are not hip hop. Binary star, wtc, memphis reigns, dilated peoples, the perceptionist, gravediggaz, to name a few, are on the other hand-TRUE hip hop. know what your talking about before you comment man.

  • you forgot stones throw!!!

  • they write their lyrics. do you mean compose their music? the slang and attitude comes from the environment they grew up in,. they also have more poetic songs preaching knowledge . "The high chief Jamel-I-Reef take the stage

Light is provided through sparks of energy

from the mind that travels in rhyme form

    Giving sight to the blind

The dumb are mostly intrigued by the drum

Death only one can save self from

This relentless attack of the track spares none"-masta killa(Wu Tang Clan)

  • Yeah some people get it twisted. RZA really knows his stuff. Most producers should. He's really interested in old music. Not like some ignorant rappers who don't even know the Beatles or how big of an influence they were on modern music and Wu-Tang too.

  • fuck you

  • I'd love to administer an IQ test on 'RZA' and show everybody that the man is borderline retarded. Listen to him talk like he has half a brain. "Yeah, My guita gently weeps was written by george harrison. I thought it was written by paul mccartney." Woah, you must be a HUGE Beatles fan, buddy. Everyone knows harrison wrote 'gently weeps'. Then he goes on informing us. "It was one of the few songs he wrote". Yes, we know. We know that he only wrote a quarter or so of each album. Give me a break.

  • he's not super well spoken 'cuz of the little bit of permanent brain damage from his heavy drug use days. that and he's a 'hood dude. don't be fooled tho - great great mind.

  • Fucking genious perioud

  • he speaks so well but it seems like he has trouble pronouncing words sometimes. especially when i listen to his verses

  • the rza is a badass

  • F TO THE A AND THE DOUBLE G ... ot

  • You cant get any more real than Rza....i think he's the best producer in hiphop period!

  • I'm seeing Wu Tang for the first time in my life in January...SOOOO excited!!!

  • I love how RZA talks so fast, just like he raps, it's awesome.

  • lmao, hold up this is my wife.... Peace

  • Man this interview is so tight

    RZA is the MAN

  • RZA

  • it is inconcievable how amazingly brilliant RZA is

  • fuckin awesome

    love the whole Wu

  • Your stupid i hope rza kills you

  • where do you get this shit, theres no way rza is broke even if he spent thousands a week on drugs, wutang is making so much still in europe and other countries, all the shit is still the hot as the 90's, and theyre still getting prolly tons from so many cats.

  • Bobby Digital

  • I'd love to sit down, drink some coffee and play chess with him.

I heard he's good at chess.

  • what about the spliff???

  • thats too necessary to even mention

  • of course he is thats a stupid thing to say

  • hes mad good at chess..but he doesnt hold a candle to the Genius....Gza schools them all when they play.

  • im just wandering. Just Blaze, Stoupe, Dj Premier, Pete Rock, dr. dre, and even RZA. Do they play any instruments besides sampling boards and turntables. Can they play pianos or guitars, or do they get someone else to do it. Because i kno the difference between a producer and a beatmaker. And most of da beatmakers i know only use samples and synthetic drums. Are any other live instruments done by them, or do they just direct the music, and slap buttons. Im stil tryin to find out if its 100% them

  • Not sure, but i think Eazy-E plays piano, so anything is possible.

RZA is a musical genius. He really is. Even though i don't listen to Hip-Hop much these days as i dont think it has aged well since the early 90's, i still follow everythig The RZA does.

Does anyone recognise the ringtone on his phone?

  • It's the afro samurai theme tune!

  • From what i know a Producer doesnt have to do anything but tell people what to play or kanye there way through. Effectively, sampling. (tell the person what to play then loop and add drums) a beatmaker is known as a programmer/engineer. I also heard that some producers (DRE) buy other people's beats an put them out as their own.

  • rza can play guitar, i believe hes at least moderate at keyboards, and i know he knows how to write out music and stuff

and flava flav is a classically trained pianist and trombonist, so you never know what sorta odd things these underestimated musicians can do.

  • he answered the phone like a european. awesome..

  • What is the name of his ringtone?

  • It's the theme from the anime "Afro Samurai". The OST is made by himself.

  • coolest ever interview

  • dope story from a dope person. i would love to sit down and talk to that man.

  • BONG BONG

  • When WU forms like voltron, RZA is above the neck. What ringtone is that, i think i recognize it...

  • rza did for wu-tang what george clinton did for parliament-funkadelic!

  • Very nice, One love

  • WU 4 EVA
