Yet another reason to avoid EVE. What is a great game concept is completely blighted by the lack of any decent kind of game tutorial for new players. Having to digest an encyclopedia before I get started in a game is a bit of a road block. And as for selling in games items.. nothing could turn me off more quickly.

You may be interested in Mortal Online. It's got bugs, but the attitude of it's owner and devs isn't like CCP. It's based on PvP and playability. It's devs totally listen to the community and in their forums are very, very active discussing options for the game. It's been getting better and better.

This protest was a result of a supposed text file leaked by CCP saying they would introduce game breaking items to EVE (items you can buy with real $ that are 'overpowered' in a sense), not for other reasons.
@starpilot1241 Concord doesnt show up for firing on monuments. Had they fired on the station, or a gate, concord would have shown up. And if anyone had started smart bombing concord would have shown up. The people who did this knew exactly what to do and how to do it. Someone dropped like 100 noobships outside the station...just for lag....
I'm going to get smashed for saying this, but I actually like Incarna so far. You don't HAVE to use the store, it doesn't affect gameplay in the slightest. You're still getting the same exact pew pew experience, plus better turret animations, which I LOVE.

As opposed to WoW with vanity items for real money and coming up Diablo 3 with real cash auction house. @TheAlidie The only things they added are items that change the look of your character. I have not seen any store that you can buy real eve-items in, like ships etc.. It's only visual effects. as far as I know...
@TheAlidie it's still the same game, and as you have never played eve before you won't notice any differences...actually I think that this expansion is a good thing for new players as it adds a layer of immersion.

@TheAlidie The only things they added are items that change the look of your character. I have not seen any store that you can buy real eve-items in, like ships etc.. It's only visual effects. as far as I know...
