its funny to wonder how bowfishing started. Did one guy have such bad luck deer hunting one day that when he saw a carp surface he nailed it? If so this man is my hero..... great vid
@fishcity100 indians used to bowfish, they would use an arrow made out of bamboo, and used an arrowhead that would be attached to the shaft by a string material so after they shot the fish the bamboo would stay floating and the fish would be on it
Some like to smoke the fish...our understanding is that Buffalo carp are actually quite tasty. It is generally recommended that you secure a place to take the fish prior to going out. We recommend talking to a farmer, many will gladly accept fish to use as fertilizer in their fields.
I am from colby wisconsin which is only 30 minutes away and the eau plaine is a great place to go bowfishing you will get great action the most my friends and i have got is 125 in a day starting at 5 till dark.
Great video! I love your reel/bootle set up! We knock the shit out of them here on the California Delta. Great products!!! Thanks for sharing!! 5*****
hahaha they have like 600 dollars in equip me and my friend shoot them with the same bows we use for deer and some home made rigs out of old arrows and tips and we shoot just as many fish haha
Carp are pretty easy to spot. Especially with a good set of polarized galsses. Carp are also easily identified by their habit of cruising the surface of the water. This should let you get a pretty clear look at their outline. Carp have a pretty distinctive silouette. As a responsible sportsman, you should only take the shot once you have positively IDed your target.
Amsbowfishing stuff is top notch stuff and not to mention the customer service they have,is awesome!!just bought a reel a few weeks ago and they sent me a part I dont even need
