If your were to argue animals as legal persons before the hebrew fathers or maybe even the greeks, they would first build their case upon the fouundation of first principles which relates to man as being a unique species separating and like no other. Totally for the idea of animal protection but to concluded animals are human in nature is pushing it.

1. Not everybody believes in god. I do, nowhere in the bible does it say they are made specifically for food. There is one passage giving permission to eat animals. I believe that was a temporary permission because it was directly after the great flood.

2. Your right about the no one killing them, but starving? No. i don't eat anything that comes from animals. I am not starving.
