@KaPun Most cookies will stay fresh for 2-3 days in a cookie jar or container. Many times I put half the batch of cookies in the freezer, then bring them out when the ones in the cookie jar have been eaten. Check out Cookie Jar #51 on how to freeze cookies. -Cindy
Hello Cindy! I have a question. I was wondering if I could use cinnamon extract with the sugar for the coating or can I put it directly in the batter because I don't have any ground sugar? Thanks!
@b6info I don't think so because the liquid extract will make the sugar clump together. You also want to see the flecks of cinnamon in the sugar when you roll the cookie. I'd wait until you can get some cinnamon :) -Cindy
@b6info At this point, I'd give up the idea of making Snickerdoodles. With some recipe there are key ingredients that make them what they are. In this recipe it's the cream of tartar, the ground cinnamon and the granulated sugar. Perhaps a nice sugar cookie instead? -Cindy
@harwoodpodcast: the reason I keep asking about changing ground cinnamon is because I attempted to make the cookies earlier but I didn't realize that my cinnamon was kinda expired or something and it ended up practically tasting like cinnamon scented sand lol. I will definitely go out and get some ground cinnamon for this recipe : )
hello cindy, I made this snickerdooles today for my family gathering and i've recieved too many complamints from the my family and relatives, thanks a lot.
@theblackcat1236kpop You an give it a try! When you're making 1/2 recipes of baked goods, like cookies or cakes, it's important that you get exactly half the amount of everything. If you can, it should work out fine. FYI: If you make a full batch, you can put the other half of the cookies in the freezer for another time:) -Cindy
@boli012 cream of tartar is a leavening which makes ur cookies rise, so you CAN'T leave them out!!! You CAN howeer substiture it for baking powder with the same amount
@lunarez10 These bake at 400˚F. for about 8 minutes. You can get the recipe from our website (HarwoodPodcast(dot)com. Email me a photo! I'd love to see how they turn out and you'd earn the "Cookie Badge." -Cindy

it really makes me nervous that cookies are baked at 400 degrees but those look so good! Not those pesky flat cookies!
