  • "George Bush ultimately will go down as the worst president this country ever had." Well put, Sir.

  • Who ordered the torture? How about Donald Rumsfeld, for one.

  • Thomas Ricks get its right so often. The people at the highest levels need to be held accountable for the illegal and heinous crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Without that, what we have is the ascendancy of an invisible government.

(Yes, I took that last line from the movie JFK because it is so perfect and true).

  • Bush is just a chronic lying fascist who did his best to destroy America. Bush is really an acronym for 'Bu-ll Sh-it'. He should hanged for treason. The 911 coverup is obvious. Google on Bertha Champagne. She blew the lid off of 911. Murdered in Marvin Bush's front yard. Then follow little Marvin to his Securacom job and then on to HCC Insurance, both directly tied to the WTC and 911. And now their next shock & awe, carried out to a 'T' the demolition of the U.S. financial system.

  • yawn.

  • Sorry, I just didn't think he said anything of substances, and I thought he was just preaching to the political choir. But, I guess I don't really have a thing for modern journalists.

And, also, if his "Bush will go down as the worst president in U.S. history" isn't just hyperbole, then I think he needs to open a few history books.

  • "You cannot win a war for your values by undermining your values" absolutely true. like jon stewart said, if you don't uphold your values when they are tested, they aren't values. they're "hobbies"

  • "You cannot win a war for your values by undermining your values" I agree,,,

  • nazis used waterboarding

  • Godwin's law.

  • Although honestly I'm against waterboarding myself... it's still an inherently stupid argument to use.

  • I don't see how waterboarding is inherently wrong. As a utilitarian, I would think it would always depend on the circumstances.

If waterboarding is always wrong, don't the death penalty and abortion have to always be wrong??? In reality, waterboarding is a much lesser evil than the death penalty and abortion---hell, ethically, it might be less evil than embryonic stem cells.

  • ok crazy

  • I agree with Thomas ricks apart from one important point:

If people disobeyed the law, they shouldnt be rewarded for confessing to their crimes. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I dont care who ordered it, war crimes are war crimes, and you dont get off the hook just because you "followed orders". I thought we settled that at Nuremburg.

  • I fully agree on the last point he made about values

  • dude so what if your anti-christ ..... doesnt mean your a bad person.... ive seen lots of bad christians........the main reason im an athiest....... so take your bs elsewhere.

  • It seems those that supported Bush are fighting tooth and nail to stop other than Bush policies or for fear if they succede what does that say about them.

  • There's always some nutters out there :S (the guy below me).

  • 5 stars and added to favorites!

I just don't know why some people don't understand what Thomas Ricks said at the end of this clip:

"You cannot win a war for your values by undermining your values"

    Thanks for the video :-)

  • Love that quote.

  • Obama's already playing the unitary executive, saying judges have no authority over his decisions. Shit, did Bush ever open a can of fucking worms with his unConstitutional bullshit.

  • I agree with his last poitn but his analysis is too low level
