right you are, the studio told Owsley he couldn't do the sound, he got pissed and dosed the coffee! Everyone was tripping except Hefner who was drinking coke. The studio sound guys were so high Owsley ended up doing the sound anyway! ...and Jerry loved coffee!

I read in Living with the Dead that Owsley Stanley dosed the coffee pot on the set of this show (during this episode)and it turned into a big fiasco with Bunnies (and everyone else) tripping and stripping. I think that would be so funny to see! Of course, Hugh Hefner didn't get dosed because he was very careful about how he recieved his drinks. If anyone has more of this episode, please post it! I am happy enough just to see this, but I would love to see more of the crowd!

Just an FYI. Rock Scully wrote that book, a good read i'm sure. Owsley, Phil Lesh, Hunter and the rest of the band are discusted by the book and say it's mostly ficticous. The bit about the pill press is completely made up. Rock Skully stole money from the band and he wrote this book as way to get back at the band. He portrayed the band is a bad way. But i'm pretty sure everyone was dosed through the roof that show.
