@WyattDeS hm I really don't remember and that varies with the pickup settings, but usually I go for 20%bass 40%mid 60%treble. Then I fine tune depending on the type of DS or OD I'm using.

I lost all my Steam installs after realizing something rather important about Win7 installations... installing on a new hard drive fails...reformatting and reinstalling wins...until you break the OS with a security ID hack for custom pointers that do fancy stuff.

Reinstalling without formatting again does NOT have the best results.

In short, I learned the hard way that you have to format *EVERY* time or the crapfan just keeps running...

@thedeadserv I dunno...repeated formatting tends to kill the hard drive from what I'm told, especially if you don't use a program to bitclean it...reset all the bits to 0. If you don't at least do -that- then formatting doesn't really do much along the lines of reviving permanently lost space.

@CloudLevi that's a soft format. if you hard format your drive everytime every zero sector gets zeroed. Magnetically. If you format it inside a running OS, then you can be pretty sure you're not getting much, unless it's a software specifically designed for HDD managing. At least that's what I've learned.

@0xMangox0 Glad you liked it! Can't help you with the guitar, though. But I don't recommend mine. It's kinda hard to play with. It has a weird gravity center so it tilts down if you're not holding at all times. (Mine's an Explorer. Crazy shape...)

thanks, ive been playing for 2 weeks and barely know any chords for accoustic and i dont really understand the difference between playing accoustic and playing electric, i know the lead is a different approach to using just chords and strumming, it seems electric doesnt require the strumming as it holds longer notes, thats how it appears anyway.. so im not sure what approach to take to learning, im just trying anything and seeing what works for me :)

Well, there's no difference between them. It's the same electric guitar with the exact same distortion. The rhyyhm guitar, usually plays chords while the lead plays the main riffs.

That's the only difference. It may happen that the lead is the one playing the chords, depending on wich gets more "focus".

can i ask what enhancements you have, to make the elec guitar sound so lush on the lead.. was it a foot pedal? all i have atm is an amp and it still sounds like a decent accoustic rather than an electric lol. i want to make the famous electric guitar noise too

Hmm... well, I did use a GT3. I have a GT10 now, though.

A dedicated OD/DS pedal would be ideal for the best sound (or so I've heard. never used one.) If you're using an acoustic with an amp, it will always sound like an acoustic. If you're using an amp, it should have at least a drive button. you need to max it up.

Anyway. Don't think too much about it. Get a OD/DS pedal and a compressor to get a more uniform and sustained sound (don't abuse on the compressor or you'll only get muddy noise).
