Even in the case of alcohol, which many would argue is more dangerous than THC, when a car wreck kills someone, the cause of death is not alcohol. It is from the injury sustained. And the criminal charge is not "intoxication". It is "DWI: DRIVING While Intoxicated". It is the irresponsible action of the person that is the danger, not the substance itself. This is true of alcohol, THC, guns, cars, skydiving, swimming, fireworks, sports, or any number of risk-related activities.
Furthermore, I think people engaged in this type of discussion must always be careful to make a distinction between "death due to the substance" vs "death due to an accident, which is secondary to intoxication". I think responsible THC users would still be strongly against doing dangerous things in public while intoxicated.
You can't blame car wrecks on pot. How many fatalities occur from simple drowsy driving, with no intoxicants involved whatsoever?
I've never used weed, but based on the bits I've seen and heard from friends, tv, and the internet, I'm guessing a person would most likely just get sleepy and pass out long before he or she could come even close to a THC overdose. Is that a fair assumption?
More people die from caffeine than from pot. In fact, no person has EVER died from pot. I read one study that showed a human would have to eat three bails of marijuana in one sitting to die from it. And, of course, eating 3 bails of ANYTHING would cause death.

Be responsible.
