Actually when Scotty was a young teen he was the first to give Shirley Temple her first screen kiss. (Miss Annie Rooney)

@lajas46 No, it was another Our Gang "graduate," Dickie Moore, who gave 14-year-old Shirley Temple her first screen kiss. The movie was "Miss Annie Rooney."

Another interesting note: In the 1933 movie "Gallant Lady," which I never saw, Scotty Beckett and Dickie Moore played the same character at different ages.

Alfalfa only replaced Scotty,because Scotty went onto bigger and better movies after the gang.I can't say that about Alfalfa.Scotty had a much more succesful career overall after leaving the gang,both in movies and in television.
